The easy answer to that is why didn't they ship the same for starfield?
Sterfield is a Bethesda game...so it's a hit just like fallout.
Those not looking at it with rose tinted glasses however, get to see it's not a great game at all. It's average at best and not their best game either.

I've heard act 3 is a mess still so I'm waiting for it to be optimized better.
It's the only reason I spent any points for Gamepass on PC to play sterfield in the meantime. Probably going to beeline through the content there so I can play a better game like sea of stars
How's act 3 as far as you know? Any fixes to performance?

They haven't said it's a commercial success yet. They've only said they got 6 million players. No sales data has been finalized or given here yet.
To give you some perspective. If you pretend that the 6 million are Gamepass subs then they've made absolutely 0 profit. Any subscriber that was already on Gamepass contributed 0 additional dollars...maybe 35 for early access.

Race swapping isn't brave...it breaks lore and immersion.

Not surprising. When reviews came out the game was praised...up until the glaring issues of last gen reared their head...then it went from a good/great game to hot garbage...
Not sure how terrible optimization on last gen consoles makes the version that run good suddenly suck.
Nothing about cyberpunk was broken. Main story is better. Gunplay is better. Choices are better. World building is actually better as well...but that's my preference cuz starfield has good world building too.
Graphics are also better on cyberpunk...
Maybe cyberpunk had more glitches...that's a possibility for sure.
Idk the pc version of cyberpunk was all right. The rest of your comment actually applies to cyberpunk. Average to good game but failed to meet hype.

Nope. Not the best main story. No way....unless you barely played their games.
Ive tried it on my laptop ...it has a GTX 2060. I've optimized the settings for what matters and getting over 30fps easy. Very playable. Probably doesn't scale up to well with higher end cards but I haven't had much performance issue.
Now they gotta tell us how many are playing on Gamepass.
After that then we would add the remaining to the steam numbers and we will get sales numbers.
However, they're not wanting to say anything detailed and are instead being vague.
It'll go down more. This is a game that should be in the 70s.
It's a step back in every single category...except maybe graphics by very little.
