Stop passing judgement on what you clearly don't know
Phil spencer doesnt even know what industry he's doing PR for...
Pretending malevolen creek wasn't a thing...they not only brought starship troopers back but they also did a great job bringing terminators back
Well...yes. however, once you're more or less topped off on one you really only go back for the updates. Or in some cases even once a season starts.
You don't remember doesn't mean there wasn't.
The collective judgement or lack of doesn't exclude the existence of blow back against whatever it is that is an issue.
The only reason helldivers didn't get as much flack is because of the impact of the mtx.
The impact of the mtx in dragons dogma 2 is huge when compared. That doesn't mean one is good and the other is bad....that's your perception.
@goose
@crimson
All mtx sucks. I'd rather helldiver's not have them because it makes me wonder if the rate at which you collect materials. That said. The games features are all fully enjoyable and aren't affected by the mtx.
That's not the case with dragons dogma 2...they left in place features that are supposedly part of the challenge of the game only to let you buy your way out very conveniently. I didn't look through all of...
I have a 2060 on a laptop so it's not even really a real 2060. But I never try to play games on the highest resolutions possible. I keep everything on 1080p and usually mid to low settings not sure how mine will run if I do end up purchasing the game though I do not like the micro transactions at all
Helldivers 2 is a live service game where everything is obtainable in game with incredible ease.
Not sure about re4 or DMC but nobody is giving anyone a pass ...this article is about dragons dogma 2...not those games.
What is valid are in game features made to supposedly force you to think carefully only to have a surprise online store offer solutions to built in problems for more money.
@kombat
Well to be fair...I was a higher level helping lower levels and getting them easy samples, credit and medals etc...maybe the guy felt small or something.
There was no language over voice chat. I was actually the only one talking and said maybe 2 things the whole mission. No problem at all until suddenly kicked as the pelican is coming down. You don't really need to communicate much in lower difficulties
Capcom cares quite a bit....hence why it was kept from reviewers and initial impressions.
As far as optional...yeah...ALL mtx are optional. That's not the problem. The miss the mark entirely.
Heck buying the game is "optional" too.
The fact that they were hiding this is scummy as hell. I was going to buy this day 1 or day 3. Now I'm reconsidering the purchase entirely because as the reviews point out...there are certai...
Everybody with any sense of good games knew there was clearly a problem at release.
This isn't really news...it was self evident from the start.
Um...no.
This game may respect your time but it doesn't respect you. Not just this game but any game with the amount of handholding on display.
Yes some of these QoL aspects are not an issue but the concept of respecting time flies in the face of what we're talking about here...games
Games are meant for you to spend time with and have fun. Respecting time used in the way this article does makes it seem as if you are reluctantly sitting do...
The gist of the review is the reviewer doesn't like too much of the same combat against the same enemies...basically the same issues with most jrpgs. Nonstop combat encounters.
They enjoy no hand holding but wanted some of it.
Also some bugs and glitches.
Reviewer mentions elden ring and breath of the wild to make some points.
Great month!....
My buyers remorse for diablo 4 just got worse though.
Except no one is actually offended. It's all just a power fantasy for certain people....most of the time the complainers aren't even gamers.
That's some managed success!
Prepare yourselves for the worst!
My thoughts exactly. But perhaps it was already in the works before GoT released.
First off. Cyberpunk was successful.
Secondly. I don't want this game to fail at all.
Third. You expect it but most seem to run with the hype like blind bats.
Fourth. It would be better for the industry if the cyberpunk lesson were up front every time.
What was the problem...making assumptions of a game before release only to be disappointed because it failed to meet certain personal expectations set forth by industry media, incorrect translat...
It's called legal theft
When someone pays for a product but have no rights to it. Said company can take away what you paid for on a whim.
There's no real legitimate moral reason for companies to act upon it but they do and it shouldn't be taken lightly.
At least we can still borrow games from others...that's still legal.
