Nobody like the tomb raider exclusivity. Nobody likes temporary exclusivity either. This has happened many times and gamers across the board have been upset with console platforms pay to have 3rd party game exclusive content. Don't play dumb and act like this isn't the case.

Not really. If they didn't do what they did I would be forced to buy more. Before susbcriptions i would wait even longer for deals before purchasing. I was also playing more open worlds, MMOs and dungeon crawlers in between.

It's interesting because these subs does make gaming more affordable if you're smart about it...but they claim games are more expensive to make...yet give us easy cheap access to them. Makes no sense.
Common sense can still prevail. Let your game sell and then if needed use a subscription.
Not cheaper. PS+ is cheaper and has more. Its incredible to see that microsoft still somehow manages to win the war on advertitising. They still manage to convince people that somehow their subscription is cheaper and better than anyting else. I think they must have paid outlets to elevate gamepass over ps+
Just like how back in the day many were convinced that xbox had tons of games that playstation did not...which wasnt true at all.
If its a game you want to keep then buy it if not sure then subscribe for 1 month and play it. This is of course my recommendation with xbox and specifically console exclusive games. On playstation I'd say buy it if you can on release and if not wait for a price drop.
If the game is triple A I would be smart and wait for price drops or deals. With the backlog most people have there is no need to buy anything day 1.
The devs don't do that. Investors and upper management does.
I prefer WW1. I think it's all down to the generation. But above all I prefer a good main campaign with good gunplay.

Oh and Microsoft can afford it...not Xbox. The Xbox division hasn't made enough money to afford it...it's being subsidized by their parent company...so not really affordable. They have to make all that money back.
