All digital, ugh...

No thank you. 3 days ago, I went to my local GAME store and bought SSX Tricky (PS2) for 5 euros. It was kind of random as I was already expecting The Ratchet Trilogy but you just don't look at old gems like that and walk away.
And bam! 3 or 4 hours spent with my dear PS2.

I love that. Such games are old and --> cheap <-- while still being amazing. Different tracks, different characters, skill-based unlockables, on-disc ma...

Had the same issue with the same game!

It's probably your CPU being too hot and destroying your frame rate (running at less than 15% of its capacity?) for a few seconds so that it will cool down.
Now, such security would be useful if it weren't happening every 10 seconds!

What I did with my mid-range laptop (nvidia 540m and i5-2410m) is use ThrottleStop to tell my CPU to run at around 60% of its capacity while I'm gaming and whenever it re...

As long as they don't cap the PC version's fps, I'll be fine. I do know that the game was developed with 30fps in mind but at least it has a chance of being more pleasing to the eye.

Great games could really have been more enjoyable had they been released on PC. Castlevania : Lords of Shadow for instance. Such an amazing game didn't deserve to be stuck with 20 to 30 fps (and no anti-aliasing, but that's an entirely different issue).

I knew I'd seen your name before. We talked about DmC in private exactly a year ago. Funny :D

Anyway, thanks for the reply!
Nothing I had read made me think about different weapon skins. Just look at the wording : "receive the exclusive bone weapons and character perk."
"Exclusive" applies to both the weapons and the perk, meaning that at least one perk will be (at first?) unavailable to those who won't get this DLC code. As for the...

Well you can never know for sure.
Devil May Cry 3 & Metal Gear Solid 3 were both prequels, but they were fuelled by fresh ideas and were worthy additions to their respective franchise's main canon.

It's all about knowing why you're doing it and what you're aiming for. If it was done because ideas were running short, then what you'll get will either be forgettable or ruin the entire franchise.

People Can Fly being the developers...

Yeah!/fake joy.
A second reason to show off my awesome photoshopping skills! How thrilling.

I wish I had made this only to joke but unfortunately I was driven by my exasperation towards Capcom's practices. And it just had to happen to DmC. What a surprise!

I really thought it would be about costumes bu...

Huh, weird, I thought GameInformer didn't reveal anything about the game on purpose in their cover reveal article so that there would still be some kind of surprise during Microsoft's conference.

Anyway, this is just like Halo. A trilogy followed by a prequel. Since I haven't played Gears of War 3, I can't know if a sequel can happen and if it could involve Fenix but I'm sure we will still see Gears of War games on the next Xbox. Epic has created a univers...

Whoa, you don't see a lot of Jason Rubin on N4G.
It's mostly because of this man that I got into gaming 14 years ago and I'm quite happy that he's still working with this industry.
Now, being THQ's President is probably quite awesome but considering how unstable THQ's current situation is, I can only imagine that there will be a lot of difficult choices to make.
Good luck, Mr. Rubin!

Bah, it's not even worth bothering with these pre-order bonuses.
It doesn't matter if you buy the game on PC or on (handheld?) consoles as in the end, everyone gets to enjoy the entire content for which they paied for by pirating the DRM-less PC version sooner or later.
Or waiting 6 months to get an amazing "COMPLETE" Edition which includes codes for DLCs that will expire within a year. Right, Arkham City?

How about releasing only one versio...

Eh, it isn't the pricing I'm worried about, nor the game itself. I can see quality in DmC but I won't praise or dismiss the game until I've played it.
It's obvious that a lack of interesting gameplay features or an abysmal plot won't make for a thrilling experience, but the game is still in development and we don't know how good each feature is.

What I'm really worried about is what Yi-Long talked about, DLCs.
It appears that ev...

Whoa.
That was one of the most informative and well executed launch trailers I've seen in a while.
I may not be interested in the game but I can only praise Platinum Games. The studio's members have certainly been hard at work.

Yeah, that's how Ratchet Gladiator is called in Japan. Another example is the Crash Bandicoot series, we have "Crash Twinsanity" when they have "Crash Bandicoot 5 etc...".

Anyway, it says that Ratchet Gladiator will be available on PlayStation Store, and I don't see why it wouldn't be on the blu-ray disc if it's not a mere PlayStation 2 emulation. It's not like it's that hard to put the entire series on a 50Gb disc.

Well I was looking forward to playing it before 21st December 2012! /stupidity.

But seriously, this was one of my most wanted games of 2012 along with Darksiders 2 and a few others. I'm really hyped because of Levine's way of thinking and the special difficulty mode which, after having playing through Bioshock on Survivor without using Vita-chambers, is something I hope will be a thrilling experience.

But anyway, as always, time flows quickly. E3 2012...

"Also keep up with the news, Rock Band iOs is not being taken away, it was an error."

I feel the need to react about that.
I already knew that this was an error when I wrote this comment. However, this doesn't change the fact that I'm scared. It didn't just pop-up from nothingness. Someone programmed it.
Someone, somewhere, made it possible to remove access from the content your purchased. So Rock Band may have been saved for now, but suc...

"Technology changes. Deal with it. "
Oh sure, let's have a look at PC Gaming in general.

Before :

Insert disc. Install full game. Play full game.

Now :

Insert disc. Install Steam(-like program?).
Install 95% of content minus the "Day One" DLCS.
Use the Internet to download the remaining 5%. Download "Day One" patches.

Ah, let me rephrase that a little bit.

I believe the hardware itself would be able to ->handle<- Rayman Origins = to make it run. The PlayStation 2 and the Xbox were quite powerful and the Wii isn't vastly superior to them. As far as I'm concerned, Rayman Origins looks exactly like its PC/PS3/630 counterparts.
I'm not saying it would be 60 FPS, and certainly not 1080p.

However, what's sure is that a game looking as good as this w...

Uh, I believe Rayman Origins/Legends would look the same on PlayStation 2 or Xbox, albeit with a lower resolution. It isn't supposed to show graphical prowess.
Games like Rayman Origins are awesome because of their easy to learn/hard to master gameplay and amazing artistic direction (that also includes the music and sound effects). It's pure fun.

Sure, it won't be a killer app for the Wii U, but then again who cares, Nintendo's supposed to handle thi...

Oh. All right! Happiness ensues.

Well this looked fantastic enough for it to be on my "Must have" list. I wasn't expecting a Rayman Origins sequel to be "announced" (one month early isn't that much though) so quickly.
Nobody was even sure there would be a sequel at all.

What worries me is that Michel Ancel may not have been part of its production, as he's supposed to be working on Beyond Good & Evil 2.
What doesn't worry me is that this engine was built...

Ah, I'd have to disagree about the "console owners to get the DLC first" part of your comment.

In my opinion, both PC and console gamers should have access to this extra content on the same day.

I bought The Witcher 2 a week after its release, which means 11 months ago. Today, its Enhanced Edition has been released on Xbox 360, with a lot of extra/improved content. I've just started downloading a patch that will give these same "Enhance...
