On the contrary, if they can learn from their mistakes and deliver a game that isn't broken, it would be great.
I haven't played Alpha Protocol, but all I heard about it was that it had an engaging story and a great dialog system, with the rest being average or below.
That's too bad. But if they do make Alpha Protocol 2 someday, I surely hope it won't end up being a Kane 1 Lynch 2 type of sequel.
Well as far as I'm concerned, this Tomb Raider doesn't look like Uncharted at all.
It looks more like a Silent Hill game.
I do hope Crystal Dynamics will succeed at making it a very unique game that will stand out instead of being forgotten quickly.
Graphics look good, the character of Lara is more interesting than ever before and the gameplay/game design appears to be quite appealing. Let's hope CD doesn't let us down.
Edit: If this To...
It's different here.
Arrival doesn't let you choose, unlike the moment when you had to decide whether the Council would live or not.
Either you kill the batarians, or you kill the batarians. So in ME3, no matter what you did during ME1 or 2, these batarians are dead.
Therefore not having played the DLC isn't that relevant.
As far as I'm concerned, everyone who owns the regular edition of The Witcher can download the Enhanced Edition patch.
This is how CD Projekt Red did it. Replace all retail and downloadable versions of the game and give "old" players the upgrade for free.
And this is why CD Projekt Red is awesome.
I remember telling myself "Ha! No way I'm playing on Hard after finishing Normal. Let alone Very Hard"
That was before I finished the game.
I ended up going through both Hard and Climax modes in...4 days? At least I think that's what my trophies show.
For this particular game, trophies were useful.
I had to format my PS3, and both my Bayonetta's saves and Assassin's Creed II's saves couldn't be copied, so I had one wee...
"The game still was one of the best sleeper hits of 2010"
Sleeper hit... I can't believe this actually happened.
Not only was it released along with Enslaved, but its sales suffered because of Black Ops. Vanquish also had the same fate.
Sleeper hits shouldn't exist.
Lords of Shadow was an amazing experience. Its combat gameplay wasn't as good (= balance in difficulty) as God of War 3's (I didn't even buy one combo...
So sex in books = good.
Sex in movies = good.
Sex in paintings = good.
Sex in games = lame?
Uhhhh.
Hey, breaking news, video games = art.
Too complicated, duh!/s
But that's not the point.
The Witcher 2 was developed for Pc but its engine can handle a console port.
Crysis 2 was developed on the 3 platforms at the same time, it was a multiplatform game from the beginning.
What you're saying is that Crysis was a PC exclusive SERIES and now every Crysis game will be available on both consoles and Pc, making it less good on pc (unfortunately I have to agree on that, they should have done better) but making ...
Uh?
This is a freaking PC exclusive.
If it does come to consoles, it would have been a Pc Port.
A Pc port! Not a console port on Pc.
That's like...Mindblowing. If they do give console gamers The Witcher 2 without sacrificing too much, they would exceed all my possible expectations.
TW2 on PC alone gives them a place amongst the best developers of all time.
*Woops*
Looks like faith didn't help him.
You're not the only one.
It's not like they gave us a proper ending anyway, so it has to have a sequel.
i think you mean.
"it will suck and it will have Milla Jovovich in it so epic fail"
...
Anyway, it's not like I'm ever going to find out since I'll never watch it.
Silent Hill 2 better live up to our expectations as the first Silent Hill movie is still the best game to movie adaptation of all time.
I trust these developpers.
Ever since that guy showed us his death stare, I've believed in the team behind Downpour.
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
More seriously, the game looks good from an atmospheric standpoint and the graphics seem to be quite up to date.
While the combat mechanics weren't shown that long, it's clear they have kept the ones we were used to i...
The man behind this game is Eric Chahi, if he brought us Another World/Out of this World back in the 90's, I'm sure he won't fuck this game up, no matter how involved he is with Ubisoft.
Well I hope I'm right, because I can't say the same about Frédérick Raynal. The guy created the Survival Horror genre with Alone in the Dark and brought us Battle Tag last year.
Battle Tag...What the?
Yeah but the main problem with that is that each console is different.
I mean, they don't release at the same time.
If Wii 2 comes in 2012, the next Xbox in 2013 and PS4 in 2014, how the hell are developers supposed to adapt to each one and make a universal engine?
It won't work unless the consoles have the same structure, which would make their existence kind of pointless.
What Crytek did is very good, but it happened at the end of th...
@TheColbertinator
Really?
Then why do I feel hyped about pretty much everything that's coming out in 2011?
Just because the game isn't an exclusive like Uncharted 3, doesn't mean it will fail.
Tomb Raider looks fantastic. So does Alice : Madness Returns, and Shadows of the Damned, and Duke Nukem Forever, and LA Noire, and Deus Ex 3(oh yeah), and Battlefield 3, even Silent Hill 8 looks good, and the list goes on.
My wallet looks kind...
Then this is going to be awesome.
I think I'll still try to play the first one though, even if I have to lower the settings, at least to get to know the characters (It's not like it is expensive anymore).
But I need to do that before playing TW2, as it will probably feel like playing a bad game should I start TW1 after TW2.
Now even though it isn't important anymore to me, I hope CDP will be able to port their engine to consoles. They'...
Uhh, David Hayter's only major role is Solid Snake.
He has done an AMAZING job at it, and has recorded many lines for this character, plus he is an awesome guy.
If Nolan North hasn't recorded that many lines of dialog (well, I think one of his biggest roles was in Prince of Persia 2008), at least he is able to pull off many different voices and can become any character he is asked to be.
In the end, the only thing that matters is what we, as p...
But the game has only gone gold 3 days ago, how is this possible?
Anyway, if this is true, it's the Canadian version since both English and French are found on the cover.
