It would be NICE to have PS3 at 299$ or 349$.
Yet, it cost 399$, the same as x360 cost first 2 years. AND Yet, you get FREE online, GREAT media-player and of`course Super RELIABLE console with AMAZING AA games(R2, LBP, VC, MGS4, MR:PR, HS, UnCharted and many other).
1. That fact doesn`t ruin my GAMEPLAY.
2. 1 game cheaper to buy than 2, and motorstorm did 1 mln. also in 1 month, though this game is NOT a TPS. =)
3. PS3 owners had more AA(80-95% on GR) exclusives(Resistance 2, Motorstorm: PR, LBP, Valkyria Chronicles, Naruto:UNS) available to buy this Autumn, then x360 owners.
New console at 400-500$ with games, which most will cost 50-70 mln. $ to create.
Uncharted started with ~200k first week, and NOW in it`s 1st year - over 2 mln. copies sold. =)
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift - started with average sales first week(since many games were released in that period), yet in 5 weeks already passed 1 mln. copies.

Remember, PS3 is MOST expensive console today. But it WILL have 199-299$ price.
PS3 WILL rule in 2009.
It was outselling x360 for whole 2008, and will do even BETTER in 2009. =)

BUT come on, EVEN Wii is doing worse, then year ago.
Just look forward to Japan Christmas sales, PES 2009 bundle released, which in first day(Nov 27th) did around 100k,
and then later expect boost by White Knight Cronicles. =)
And Wii, most games on Wii just bomb in Japan, even with 7 mln. userbase, because it`s casuals bought the system, and they don`t buy normal games usually.
Wii is NOT a competitor to HD consoles, because they are different.
atleast in Europe all PS3 will be bundled with LBP, and more people will be able to enjoy this AMAZING experience. =)
of`course there will be resistance 2, motorstorm:PR and maybe other game bundles, but by default it will be bundled with LBP.
So expect +1,5 mln. to LBP sales in Europe only during december. =)
and with time and people recommendations, LBP will reach 10 mln. LTD. :)

IF INSTALLS is a GOOD thing(i heard, that MANY xbox360 owners install games like GTA 4, LO, ME, Fable 2 and etc. to reduce load times) then,
INSTALLS = GOOD.
Mandatory GOOD is better then optional GOOD.

1. Every x360 game use only ~7GB of DVD disc space, the rest goes for SECURITY(that easy to finad out - just look how much x360 images take place).
2. Atleast 1GB will be used for data dublication, explaining - same battle music on all discs, same textures and etc.
Overall, it`s just 6GB in best case left for a BIG game.
AND that is 8 DVDs, if FFXIII will USE Full 50GB Blu-ray space and if x360 won`t get dumped version.
