Hmm want to enlighten me on how your actually reading 360 disc's with your nero/roxio? I'm just going to hypothesize on where the missing 1.7Gigs is (8.5GB-6.8GB).. The 360 Discs are hybrid discs that have a regular dvd partition and a proprietary data portion not readable by most dvd drives. In order for the dvd portion to be recognized in all dvd players it needs data written out to past 1Gig. I'm not sure what the exact number needed is. I'm guessing this is where the missing space is...

I've tried many things to figure out the problem but nothing seems to help. I usually don't have a bluetooth headset on when this happens so that can't be the cause of it. There may just be too many 2.4Ghz networks in my neighborhood. All I know is both of my SIXAXIS controllers drop out occasionally. I've also noticed they drop out more often when the battery is low. Sometimes they drop out so badly they won't reconnect without resetting them.
If this fixes the controller dropouts I'm sold. I'll try to pick one up tonight. It was my only real complaint with the SIXAXIS and why it could be called SUXAXIS. Like the article says the newer PS3's probably didn't have this problem due to a better bluetooth antenna but who knows for sure.

I dunno how may other people have this problem but it seems like every time I pick up my wii controllers (Once every couple of months) I have to change the battery! The controllers kill the batteries from no use.
Yeah I noticed that too. Its odd why all their other videos didn't have such a giant black bar. Another thing they don't show is a lot of dark scenes since these are the scenes most heavily affected by the setting. The dark scenes they do show aren't the same. And why no capture with Full RGB off? It looks to me like they're specifically trying to make the user not notice a difference. It's all on how they spin it. This is complete damage control. Just cause it has 2 frame buffers doesn't mean those pixels are used for extra resolution or added clarity. In fact they're just using it to implement fp16 HDR. It's almost like saying a 60fps game has twice the resolution as a 30fps game.

I hope this doesn't mean they lowered their build quality even more. It's already been known to not center properly, start smoking and be a bit loose. I wish I could use my Logitech Driving Force Pro on the 360.
They should at least release a bundle with the full Forza 2. That would finally get me to buy it.

FCC won't crackdown cause there's nothing the 360 is doing wrong in their eyes. Any device that broadcasts a signal is going to cause interference in the spectrum its broadcasting in. It's up to the other devices to cope with it.. If Microsoft wants to change their proprietary protocol to be more wifi friendly thats up to them.

I wonder if this is why my PS3 controllers sometimes loose connection. I know the PS3 currently just uses a standard Bluetooth 2.0 protocol but its the only console that drops controller connections also. They really need to fix this.. Anyone experience this problem with the new 40Gb model? I know their antennas are different than the 60Gb model. Next time I have a long PS3 gaming session I'll try unplugging the 360 first to see if that helps.

Did you just buy it or did you buy it a long time ago? I have a monthly subscription. The in Qore download does not work but they did send me a beta key via email and I don't think I signed up for it anywhere else. So I'd say check that email account your psn account is tied to.
