I'm curious to hear what other people think that have used the PSVR and a Vive or a Rift. I own a Oculus Rift but went to my local Best Buy this past weekend to also check out the PSVR demo. I was actually very surprised by the image quality considering everything I've heard about the Rift having the best optics. The PSVR felt more natural and the center of the image was more clear and crisp. I did not notice the screen door effect as much and the Rift. The PSVR also does not suf...

At first I was thinking they should put both in the game but the more I thought about it the more I think that's the wrong call. It's about image and what some people might take away from it. Nintendo wouldn't want to send the wrong message by saying it's ok to commit suicide. If you do we'll make you a NPC.

Except for the fact that Robin Williams took his own life.

She wasn't just any fan or singer that liked Zelda.

She got her start on YouTube and had a big following with 3.6million + subscribers.
Her YouTube channel is named "zeldaxlove64 Christina Grimmie".
She would sometimes wear Zelda inspired shirts while singing, like in this video https://www.youtube.com/wat...
She had quite a few Zelda inspired tweets like

@Eonjay
Your math is wrong..
With consumer 4K(which really isn't 4K but rather 2160p)
Resolution(2160p) 3840*2160 = 8294400 pixels
Bytes per pixel for 24 bit color is 3 bytes or 24bits/8bits per byte = 3 bytes.
So total memory for just the framebuffer would be 8294400 * 3 = 24883200 bytes
convert that to kilobytes 24883200/1024 = 24300KB
and lastly convert that to megabytes
24300/1024 = 23.73046875MB

32MB >...

Haven's pretty cool. Took me a while to get into it but now I like it quite a bit. At first I couldn't help but see her as Elena thanks to her distinctive voice. It's also funny that her partner in that show is named Nathan. If she doesn't play Elena in the Uncharted movie something is wrong with the casting director.

@qwertyz

I think your wrong about a lot of what you just said. It's quite sad since you sound like you should know what your talking about. And yes I have programed a pixel shader before. I'm pretty certain the Cell processor with 7 spu's can do way more instructions per second. Granted it can't do more general PPE instructions but that's not what MIPS means. For the most part I believe the main PPE core in the Cell is pretty much exactly like those i...

So wait you just ripped on a game so hard you have yet to even play? I just beat the game last night which took me around 13 hours on hard. I enjoyed it quite a lot but I'm not someone who gets offended by objectifying women in a non serious way as this game does. The whole game is a parody type game that's built around building up Duke Nukem's ego. The game makes wise cracks about everything and is rude and lewd but that's what I expect from a Duke 3d sequel. Duke makes ...

No, but then again I can't speak for the console versions.

@maniacmayhem

Thanks for the reply. As I thought the problems you mention are mostly console problems. I imagine a lot of the boredom is magnified by long loading times. I feel this way with other console games that just don't have quick loading either. Load times on my PC vary between 4-8 seconds which is quite acceptable and almost not enough time to read the little tip. Graphics are also better on the PC as most of the game looks quite good. Although they're ...

@Baka-akaB

I have yet to encounter any bugs, what bugs are you talking about? It could again just be a console thing. I really think the console ports may have been a bad idea aside from a profit question.

One of the things I liked about the original DN3D was the level of interactivity. They kept that which is a welcome change from most shooters these days. The game also offers a wide variety of game play which not all shooters do these days. It also has...

I find it baffling how many people think the game is really really bad. Perhaps the console ports are just that bad. I'm quite enjoying the PC version. I'm not quite done with it yet but am over half way through the game. It's pretty much everything I was expecting in a Duke Nukem 3D sequel. If you don't like the game you probably never really cared for DN3D either. The only things I really feel are missing from the spirit of DN3D is more secret areas and the ability to ...

I think it's just the 360 is using some kind of self shadowing algorithm that is different than the full SSAO algorithm the PS3 version is using. Perhaps they can only do 1 light or something. Some of the 360 LoT shots have some self shadowing just not all that the PS3 version has.

I play with my nav controller on my lap and the move controller resting on the right arm rest of the sofa. I only use my wrist to change the pointing direction similar to a mouse and prefer this setup to a DS3 controller. I still think games like Killzone 3 and Socom have room for improvement but what they have already feels superior to a twin stick controller. Whoever wrote the article at CVG did not put the proper time in with figuring out a good setup to play with the move and get accus...

Cross game chat for the current catalog is probably not going to happen since it hasn't happened yet. I'm sure there's some technical reasons why they haven't been able to implement it. Having said that I'm surprised they haven't made it a feature for new games going forward like they did with music.

As for the XMB I would just like it to load quicker especially when in game. I find that while the NXE looks nice it's quite the disorganized mes...

Well I was going to buy it but now that I know there's no online play I'll pass. What a shame I was really interested in this game.

Seems like the easiest fix for this would just be to make the user invincible for a few seconds after spawning. This would make spawn camping a way to get yourself killed.

I use 0 and 0 for the deadzone and 40 and 40 for the sensitivity and turning. I also usually point higher and lower than the screen when calibrating so my vertical movement isn't quite as sensitive.

Yes they broke the SSL encryption used to communicate to the sony servers. So yes the CC information is encrypted over SSL. This is really only an issue if a user runs a custom firmware that has a unauthorized cert and then a hacker stands in between you and Sony. But really if your running a custom firmware that firmware could be made to send it unencrypted to a hacker anyway. Making his point about it being unencrypted moot.

You can hardly reach the left analog stick but your ok with the right one? And your ok with the right one on a 360 controller? You must have one tiny left hand because the PS3 controller is symmetrical.

I think a lot of people don't give the PS3 controller a chance because they're so use to the 360 controller. It's not the same but if you play with it for a while you get use to it and may actually prefer it. I've heard the whole "the left stick is in ...
