Didn't matter. By the time there was an official announcement, everybody already knew. For months.
I believe PS4 sales during those four months stalled over anticipation for the PS4 Pro more than anything from the competition or it's line up.
Sony's lineup is usually heaviest at the top half of the year and with no new console interations coming out next year for them, I think sales will be fine for reaching their target.

PS4 sales dipped because people were holding out for PS4 Pro. Some people would like to have you believe that the major impact was people jumping over to the Xbox One S but that's not exactly true now is it?
