Obviously I value gameplay but without a solid story, I tend to wander. I like to know there's a reason I'm doing something in a game besides achievement hunting.

Seriously why would anyone be the least bit surprised by this? And no - It's really not a bad thing but it will have all kinds of "Same-ness" to the Halo series and I think that's continually be something that it's going to struggle to step out from the shadow of. I predict it loses review points or is labelled as an issue by some reviewers.

I'm all for bringing a remastered Uprezzed classic title from last gen to current gen but this is becoming far too common. And quite frankly, while I welcome any opportunity to slap a prettier version of a game into one of my current gen systems that I already played before, I sure as hell am NOT paying full price for it. So if these companies wanna release these games like that fine, but if it's any more than $30 - I'll wait.
Anyone who thinks otherwise should give their collective heads a shake and smell what they're shoveling. UC4 is going to destroy the charts. personally, if I was making a game that is slated to be in the launch window of that game - I'd pull it and wait OR throw some extra man power at the game to get it out sooner.
I simply LOVE the idea that a game could be so big that 100hrs is a speed run but I can't see that being completely truthful unless he means getting all achievement/trophies and doing every single mission. I mean even Skyrim which was absolutely gigantic could be done in way less time.
Maybe a female wouldn't be that compelling in the story or the grander scheme of the overall story they plan to tell?

The game looks awesome. People need to quit looking for the smallest of things to bitch and whine about.
Ya graphically it looks sharp but you can tell it's still in the early stages. Combat looked largely unfinished and the framerate was atrocious but I'm sure with many more months of cooking this turkey it's going to come out just fine.
