it's a cult classic. Think of it as a really cheesy B horror movie. You know it's bad, the acting sucks, the story is brutal and the premise is, as you said, a turd - but it has this schlock value that you can't help but love in a guilty pleasure kinda way.
Not at all a big deal or something to read into about. I've had many games that were on Release Day embargos. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the show while we wait for the real posts to hit.
I feel like they probably haven't had enough time to dedicate to the game to give it a proper post. Also, this is certainly NOT how you make friends with one of the more popular developers around.
I must admit that I really like what I've seen so far and am more than a little excited to get my hands on it in less than 2 weeks.

I'm more than interested in games that are actually worth playing on the WiiU. Granted I could careless about the handheld units but if it's a solid title for the WiiU, I'm all over it.

Just out of curiosity, can you tell me what exactly it is that you think Nintendo is going to do that makes you "most excited" for? Is it more of Reggie and his talking about how their first party titles are second to none? Is it the deluge of amazing new and innovative games that have been or are expected to be announced? Or is it a new Nintendo DS?
Cause if you know something that I'm not aware of as far as new games coming out to make this system a worthwhil...

UNless they're in Ontario Canada in which case that number is sure to swell significantly since we have the highest energy costs in North America.
I also think the smartest move would have been to keep kinect in the box but drop the price in line with $399. It would have shown developers that were currently working on projects that the install base was there and therefore still worth their efforts and money as well as hopefully nurturing the advancement of the technology and maybe bring us new and innovative ways to incorporate it and motion technology.
There's one small detail that I haven't seen anyone mention yet... The price drop in Canada, makes the Xbox One $50 cheaper than PlayStation 4

I enjoyed Far Cry 3 - i didn't love it but it was a damn fine game by all accounts. I sure hope they have a new/properly optimized engine for Next Gen systems.
here's hoping that Ubisoft can maintain their launch schedule with this one because the last 2 blockbuster titles have missed their original release. I'm looking at you Watch Dogs and Division.

The final code was shipped a while ago - My buddy who was on the team has been on vacation for the last 3 weeks.
That's something that immediately popped to mind for me as well. I know lots of people here can;t stand Kinect but it's used here at my house. It's a family gaming thing with my wife and daughter. We all have a great time playing Kinect sports and are always on the lookout for the next game to come out that uses kinect properly.
Now there's little to no incentive to make anything for kinect. I really think this is the death knell of the peripheral.
There's ABSOLUTELY no reason why MS should provide compensation to early adopters. You want to buy new technology right when it comes out that's on you. I bought my XBox on Day One and in truth I like the Kinect but even if I didn't, I wouldn't be asking for compensation. Some people seem to have this entitled feeling.
Paywall for apps is gone as is Kinect. See? Phil is listening. This is just more proof that MS should have dropped that twit Mattrick and handed the reigns over to Spencer a year ago if not more.
To be totally and completely honest... Not as much as I .. perhaps (?) should. I think for me, it had to have this incredible long lasting appeal and a real soft spot in my cold black gamers heart. Something like lunar, Mario all stars, fallout are a few examples for me.
