Why do people check retailers to find out if/when a game comes out for a particular system? The retailers don't know anything! Go to the source!

Why should you not be able to walk and shoot at the same time? Can you walk and chew gum at the same time?

I agree.

What's wrong with a 4-man squad? Oh, I see, a 5-man squad would have been teh uber-original.

wha??

6237d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

KZ stole the 4 man squad?!? What else do you want? Would it have been better to have a 3 or 5 man squad???

Then you probably need to open some ports or put the PS3 in the router's DMZ. I would suggest using a static IP address for the PS3 and 360 too.

I didn't realize they included the install time in their numbers. Either way, it doesn't make any sense for people to complain about install times for downloaded content. Doesn't it make more sense to download a compressed file and then decompress it rather than download the uncompressed files?

Most people can decompress something faster than they can download, not to mention the bandwidth caps many people have.

That's awesome! I have to get that!

What model number is that?

6238d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Maybe not, but the insurance website listing the driver and their policy would certainly be considered "proof" to me.

6 months after lunch????!!!

That sucks, man. I have RoadRunner in Cincinnati and I get 15/1 mbps for $40/month.

It's easy to max out all the cores on a multi-core processor. Wanna know how? Just do this:

while(1)
{
//do something
}

on each core. See? I'm the greatest programmer in the world! j/k

It's not about using 100% of the cpu, it's about using it in the most efficient way. So you could actually say, it's about using as little of the cpu as possible while still doing the same processing.

Alcon, over 100 million people saw the Victoria's Secret ad during last year's Super Bowl.

'nuff said. ;)

Who wants to be burdened with actually playing the game yourself when you can just watch the system play for you?!

I do NOT believe the firmware is to blame for DREs, but you are naive if you think firmware cannot cause hardware to fail. The firmware controls very sensitive settings like laser intensity, voltage levels, etc.

Now it's pretty unlikely that any of these things were changed in any recent firmware (and in fact, these settings are likely on the actual BD drive's firmware, not the PS3 system firmware) so I doubt the firmware is the cause, but it is certainly possible.

They say "no plugin required" but that's because it's built into the browser. It's not much different than having a Flash plugin.

My biggest complaint with Flash is that you can't properly seek. Every time I click on the seek bar or drag the marker it always goes wherever it pleases! Drives me F***ING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!

The point is that if Sony doesn't market well enough to increase their market share and profits, then eventually the PS3 will become the Dreamcast/Gamecube. I know that's unlikely, but consider this scenario:

- Sony continues to fail hard at marketing.
- MS excels at marketing, thus increasing their lead over the PS3 2-to-1.
- More developers ditch the PS3 because the ROI is not worth the effort.

Result: Hardly any new PS3 games. You don't want that, d...

Do ping tests wired vs. wireless. There is no question wired connections almost always have less latency.
