AI sure but physics really isn't THAT important, it's not a quarter of a game.
To be expected. They produced flop after flop. They haven't made a good game since the PS2 era. Hopefully this means that Sony will invest more in either already-owned studios or acquire a new good one. Either way this is a good thing for both Sony and consumers.
Nobody is treating you like shit. Stop acting like you're being persecuted just because Ice_Cold voiced his opinion.
If there's one thing that can be said about Robert Bowling, it's that he's passionate about video games. It seems he's lost his passion for Call of Duty, and honestly I don't blame him, most people have. I think, and it seems to be the case, that he's decided it's time to move on to greener pastures and to try and create something truly lasting. All the best to him.
Amusing that you think that just because someone publishes an opinion piece that doesn't follow the majority opinion he must therefore be a troll. That's just absolutely ridiculous.
HOW DARE HE DISGAREE WITH A LARGELY HELD OPINION?! HE'S CLEARLY JUST IN IT FOR THE HITS!
Seriously? These two comments are a waste of space. Just click "Agree" and move on. But you guys get bubbled/Agrees simply for expressing your agreement? Wat. It's like clicking Upvote on Reddit and then saying "Upvoted." THAT'S WHAT THE BUTTON IS FOR
I wouldn't be so certain if I was you about the 'mini games'. Epic Games have at least two console-level games out (Infinity Blade and IB: Dungeons), then there's others of similar level like Shadow Gun, Modern Combat 3 etc. With all this extra power I think we'll see an Increase in the number of console-style games on the iPad.
You have a convincing argument.
Yes, just read about this on Reddit. Honestly I think they have a very, very strong chance of being the leaders of the next generation of consoles. They're by far the most forward thinking company with the strongest innovation, and they actually have a very solid reputation. They're nice people, they have built some of the best game's ever and they really understand the digital platform.
I'm thinking this is going to be like OnLive (in terms of the way the har...
You are missing out on a lot. Yes, they're annual releases but they're amazing games and honestly you're probably not going to understand half of the things in Assassin's Creed III if you don't at least rent them and play through the storyline. I also think it's pretty stupid that you didn't even give them a chance. You didn't even play Brotherhood to at least SEE if the annual releases would damage the franchise?
I take back everything I said, this game looks like it'll be amazing.
Yeah because the American Revolution is SO unique. Who needs the variety of two whole continents?
I'm just fucking sick of every game I know of being set in America with American characters... it's just annoying at this point. It's getting obnoxious. I was hoping they'd maintain a series that was unique. If they're setting it in America then they're clearly not.
Honestly I was hoping for a setting in either Japan/China or Ancient Greec...
*The only four big exclusive franchises return

You are not an RPG fan if you have not played Baldur's Gate. I could add a few more 'required' RPGs to the list too... Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1 & 2, Icewind Dale, Divine Divinity, Morrowind...
The reason day-1 DLC is considered a cash grab is that when you pay money you expect to receive the 'full package'. If they've worked on it before release, then you expect to receive it in the game you purchase. The game is the price it is because of the money & time it took to develop, after all. Therefore if they are spending that money & time on content that you are *not* actually receiving, you're being fucked over. If they're *then* charging extra for it *afte...
Duh. It's multilplat. When you add sales from all three consoles together, yeah you're going to get more than a single-console-exclusive sold.
The comments on that site make me weep for the future of humanity.
You have to be fucking kidding me.
Guys, read the article. It's not how the title sounds. She's saying that video games MAY start dying IF they don't change their direction as, in her opinion, they are starting to become irrelevant as people become more interested in what's actually happening in the world. At least give her a chance.
