Not really. The main problem this gen is the lack of new good IP's and not hardware. This is just a move to try and get more money from gamers. Nothing more.
Im playing UC4 or Alienation and i dont need better graphics, much less 4k. I got good FHD and is more then enough. I just wish for more good games, good stories, good gameplay, good lenght and not broken games that need 15 gigas to play and even then....

Their gold is not to take down Sony, by this time they already know that Sony is a world apart that cant be reached with Halo/forza/Gears and PR.
In my opinion, Microsoft gold is to try and take market share from the PC gaming. They will get more money from their games that isnt coming from consoles.

Phil Spencer can say what he wants. If that was true he will not coming out with Two consoles on the same e3. Never done before, but yes the xbox one is selling much better then the 360 and will reach the 80 millions on 2025, lol.

Some need to stop saying that the Xbox One is selling better then the 360. No real numbers out and this year its just impossible. The 360 was an amazing console that why it still cost what it cost and sold so much.
The Xbox One was failure from the reveal. The 360 was leader in diferent markets. Now the market is bigger and when same are doing the math they need to remeber that too.
Without showing anything at E3, i think is hard for Sony to launch the PS Neo this year. More they are launching in a couple of months the PSVR... and also a console???
People talk to much about specs. Neo doesnt need to have 6 teraflops what it need is games and price that all gamers can buy. Thats one of the strongest points of the sucess of the PS4.
Of course the other team just talk about spec of something coming in the end of 2017. Another gamechang...
Its not just exclusives, its exclusives that gamers buy and dont flop on sales... huge diference.
PC doesnt have Sony exclusives. Thats a huge diference. By the time the scorpio is out, their specs will be average for PC gaming. The Neo spec dont matter, because you can only play exclusive on the PS machines.

Already Microsoft is afraid and Neo isnt even out and their console is coming in 18 months. So many shoots on the foot... What they are saying is: «Please dont buy the neo and wait 18 months until we launch the Scorpio and then wait for the games...»
They dont learnt. They should have launch the Slim this year and next E3 drop the bomb with the Scorpio and some games showing the powers of the next gen.
