Because some people just can't afford all (heck many can barely afford one), so they need to find reasons to justify their choice. The rest of us are enjoying all the games. I can't think of a generation that I would only want to game on just one platform, you miss out on so many games!

PC is an open platform, other than the cost of Windows theirs NO other licensing costs, you don't have to use visual studios to write a program on windows, and C++ is an open standard, MS doesn't own it. Geez I really have to explain this to someone?

Ps1+ps2 Sony had dominant market share and got arrogant , so in the ps2-ps3 era not so developer friendly, had $599 ps3 launch and actually said, hey people should want to work a second job to afford a ps3!
Ps3 era they lost the dominant market share, it is essentially a tie with x360 now and behind Wii
So now ps4, they want to attract developers again...
I still don't understand what it is. Sounds like an excuse to make the game require always online?
