I think the morality branches will remain bland and un-interesting until the series goes M-rated.
There's only so much emotional tug to be achieved from T-Rated morality.
I don't really see any other weaknesses in the franchise on the whole.

The lighting and AA are already next gen, so the only place that really NEEDS an upgrade is the texture resolution. But yeah the jump won't be as big as it was within the 7th gen.
Well actually it would be handy to have Word/PDF viewers on consoles, since there are already browsers on each.
Some guides and manuals and stuff are in those formats. Couldn't hurt.
