I'd still urge you to get it on Gamepass first even if it's just to try it out. If you love it then that's great but if it sucks then at least you didn't piss away £60 or however much it costs in your region. Gamepass on PC isn't hard to use so at worst all you've lost is a little bit of time
If this game manages to recapture the magic of Skyrim when it first came out then I can see myself spending a lot of time with Starfield, but and this is a big but, recent Bethesda titles lead me to err on the side of caution.
Historically audio files have been a big problem for game file sizes, higher quality audio often doesn't get the compression treatment as audio compression can be quite lossy. Add to that 4K assets on a large scale and you have a recipe for a massive file size. Image files and assets are often what devs focus on optimising as image visual compression can be lossless when done correctly but there is only so much you can compress before you affect the quality.

Don't see how to be honest, both were pretty similar in presentation and games shown. Other than the hour long Starfield presentation at the end of the Xbox conference both were pretty eh. Saw games on both showcases that I would be interested in but neither show was a smash hit as far as I'm concerned

"MS needs to own more so we gamers can get more free games on Gamepass"
First of all, they're not "free", you are paying a fee for Gamepass, this idea that people like you have that games are free on Gamepass is not only wrong, it's utterly stupid.
Secondly, lets say what you want comes to pass and Microsoft buys most of the gaming industry and places it on gamepass, what is to stop them from jacking up the price so they can st...
They seem to be ignoring the fact that the removal of a vote to kick option also makes it easier for players to be toxic because they can't be removed from a match if they're griefing. In all the years I've been playing games the amount of times I've seen a player get kicked for no reason are far fewer than the ones who were kicked for being assholes
Kinda forgot about this game to be honest
You almost did during the 360 era, you know...back when you actually gave a shit about games
I think people have already forgotten how bad Anthem was, Redfall is bad but it is not even in the same universe of bad that Anthem was.
This is coming from a fool who bought the Legion of the Dawn edition on release btw.
I'm a Halo fan and for me Chief's story was finished in Halo 3, the covenant and the flood were defeated and Chief was finally allowed to go into cryo and rest. The following two games that came after (ODST and Reach) had different protagonists and both those games are amazing, the universe of Halo is larger than the Master Chief just as the Gears of War universe is bigger than Marcus Fenix.
If a developer cannot take on a franchise without using the "old favou...
Why not just get a gamepass for PC subscription for like £6 and then try it yourself. Worse comes to worse you've lost some time and you can use the rest of the month to play other games on gamepass
It was originally going to be the place where Leon found Rebellion, it was going to be a player empowerment moment where the player could not only pull off intricate combos with the new sword but Leon would also be able to dual wield a set of new pistols that juggled enemies in the air.
They later replaced it with a wrecking ball to represent how development constrictions wrecked their ambitions for a new style of Resident Evil game.
The point of a remake is to update, not to replace. They didn't remove the original game from stores for a reason. Probably the dumbest take I've seen all year
To be honest the only game that's a blip on my radar this month is Jedi Survivor, might pick up the others on discount later down the line
For a single exclusive, maybe not these days as money is tight AF but it would depend on how good it is. I bought a 360 for Halo 3 and a PS3 For Uncharted 2 so I've done it before. If the console provides multiple great exclusives though then I'm more than happy to purchase it.
I didn't hate Gears of War Judgement but I didn't care much for it either. The episodic style they had for the chapters with the flashbacks took me out of the story a bit and the two weapon limit made the game feel less like Gears of War and more like someone trying to make a "Gear of War killer" style of game. Similar to how Haze designed itself as a Halo killer without understanding a lot of what made Gears of War what it was
If I had a passion for life I wouldn't be on N4G
Looking forward to playing this on GP for about 4 hours before dropping it because it's just another poorly made Bethesda game filled with bugs and tedious, clunky mechanics
I would be impressed if this game wasn't delayed for multiple years so it's likely this budget is more of a stacking effect rather than what they actually had in mind
