This is disappointing... a huge factor of my purchase intent was that it would work with a variety of games. This wont apply to unlockable content like in HW but for custom characters like Smash bros.
Its very rare i see poor reception on the eshop though
I think there's a loss, but a small one. The Kinect 2.0 was probably a huge factor in the 500 dollar price tag, i wouldnt be surprised if its manufacture cost exceeded the $100 price it took with its discontinuation. The Xbone's parts are cheaper than the PS4 but i think the overrall design (size, power brick, etc) are putting them both around the same manufacturing cost.
In the long run, this is a good idea for MS.

That's ridiculous. All three of the sonic games sucked. I mean Lost World was just mediocre but what a horrible investment. To date Lost World and M&S have sold barely anything. If they were going to partner with Sega they should've had one sonic game and the other two could be something like Phantasy Star or Jet Grind Radio or Shenmue which people have been clamoring for. That would've been huge in fact, and probably would sell better than mediocre Sonic game number umpteen. ...

the fact that they have the pre-load will help a lot. That way people that buy digital wont all be doing so on the same day. One of the reasons MCC put some strain on servers was also that massive day 1 patch which i doubt Smash will have. Im hopeful they'll prep.

I think Riccitiello is a very underrated CEO. He invested in new, creative IPs like Shadows of the Damned, Brutal Legend, Dead Space and Mass Effect. Its hard to believe EA mostly made shovelware not even a decade ago.
He kickstarted their BS micro transactions but other than that, good CEO.

Im sure this isnt their only commerical, but they need to show more games. Cram as many games as possible, showing as many audiences as possible.
