I purchased Zelda WInd Waker HD digitally and then I found out that purchases of Wii U games are stuck in the console and are not linked to the account. Even when you back up to an SD card or HDD, you can't play it on another console.
That for me, is the stupidest thing Nintendo has ever done! Luckily I only lost one game, but what about people that buy most of their games digitally? Customer service told me that they can switch the content, only if the console is broken,...
I wouldn't even care if it gets pushed back to 2016. When it comes to Zelda, I want the best game ever, and now that they are -supposedly- changing the formula, I want them to take all the time they need to create a great experience.
I would love another Zelda as epic as Ocarina of Time was at its time. I would love an instant classic, that even when you play the first five minutes you know they ride will be epic.
Take that Microsoft! You wanted parity didn't you?! There you have it! :P
That's how "Journalism" works, but sadly, that's how the world works too.
Money is more important that anything else. We got to a point where substance, quality, value, integrity, etc are just not important.
Killzone 2 is a masterpiece. It was going to be very hard to reach its greatness level. Killzone 3 could have done it, but they preferred to make it a COD wannabe.
I haven't played Shadow Fall, but from what I have played in short demos, it's a COD game with Killzone paint coat. I really didn't like it.
I wish they went back to Killzone 2 style.
Imagine if they dropped the price to $349 or $299 for the month of December just to 1up Microsoft? Sony would lose money, but gain so many sales they could recover in software and accessories sales.
Even the people pissed at the price cut would run to the store to buy a second one. I know I would!
I saw a livestream where Tabata said that while character switching is gone, the combat will remain exactly as it has been shown since they announced the game. He also said that the game will start slow and when you get to higher levels, the combat will get faster and more complex (but simple to use).
They have always said that it is very similar to Kingdom Hearts, and Tabata confirmed that in the live stream, but he said that added a little bit of Type 0. Kingdom Hearts als...
I probably do have something wrong with my eyes, but I really have never been able to notice the difference between 30fps and 60 fps. I have seen videos side by side, one after the other, and I just can't. All of them in high-end TVs.
I just recently started noticing some difference between 720p and 1080p, with some movies I've been downloading. However, I spent the entire PS3 era without ever noticing the difference of 1080p vs 720p either.
I am so sorry, but I just can't notice any difference at all.
The XMB is so outdated, even if it was very simple to use. Also, the PS4 UI is basically a modern version of the XMB, it even uses the same icons. The problem is that is not very well implemented, and Sony is taking forever to improve it. When we start having folders (but should be like the TV/Video tile, in which you press down to get to the content), when we can choose what to put in the Content Area and sort it the way we want it (instead of having it move as recently used) and we can have...
Yeah, Indies are great when they push the boundaries. When they make iPhone games and call them revolutionary, that's where there's a problem.
"Currently your most recent apps appear to the left including the library"
That's not true! The Library is locked on the far-most right. It's the only tile that doesn't move (as well as What's New). That should stay like that.
Like I typed above. You should be able to sort the line as you want and lock the content as you want (not moving as you recently use it). They are giving us a way to sort the library, which is nice, but we shou...
That's what I've been saying. You should be able to sort the line of apps. They already said that the line will only be 15 items, and everything else will go to the library. That's great!
However, we should choose which 15 apps go in the line, and not as recent use (I hate recent use sorting in everything, not just the PS4) Then, if they added folders (the TV tile is a folder since you have to scroll down to get to the apps) then you could get a Favorites tile and...
That's because those two are high-quality indie games. I've said that I hate indies in general, not because they are indie, but mostly because they are iphone games most of the times. When you get three indies like Wild, No Man's Sky and Rime, then it's worth check them out.
I hope those three indies are successful (as well as HellBlade) because they'll definitely raise the bar on what Indie games should be, and maybe the flood of iphone, nes-looking game...
"Look better than the Skylanders or Infinity toys."
I am sorry but I whole-heartedly disagree! I haven't paid a lot of attention to Skylanders figurines, but I can tell you that Disney Infinity figures are absolutely gorgeous and very well done. As always, there are few exceptions (like Elsa from Frozen who looks bad), but most of them are very well done, specially the Marvel Super Heroes. I am even planning to buy Venon to have it on my office.

this is duplicate story
The game was absolutely amazing and gorgeous. It had if flaws, of course, but nothing major and nothing that couldn't be fixed in sequel. Just look how impressive they improved Uncharted in Uncharted 2. The same could be done to Heavenly Sword.
Sony should get a deal with Ninja Theory, or give the IP to Santa Monica and start working with it. That game alone, it's much worth it than the majority that do get two or more sequels.
"He mentioned Mass Effect . Hmmm is he teasing that it might be that 3rd party exclusive ?"
Dude, that's taking it way out of context. That right there is how rumors get started.
I remember that. They want to turn RE into an action franchise. Don't even know what they were smoking when they made that decision.
it's a shame that everyone wants to be like COD. It's the lowest possible bar ever.
That's why I don't like digital so much. They save production costs, as well as distribution costs, and others, yet, the price is the same as retail. That's a ripoff. That's the biggest flaw in digital games.
Retailers need to get rid of inventory, so they need to discount items that don't sell well (or as expected). That's why they reduce price quicker.
With that said, I had to buy Shadow of Mordor digital, because where I live, the...
