From the Games perspective these both i5 and i7 have 4 THREADS because Games arent Hyper Thread Optimized. However If Games ARE HT Optimized then they will see i7s as 8 THREADS and i5 as your usual 4 THREADS. So yes @Stsonic is correct.
The 'K' Series CPUS are unlocked cpus and Z77 Motherboards are OC Capable Mobos. Basically you have a system that was DESIGNED to be OCed. The exact procedure comes from mostly trail and error but as long as you dont do something stupid (like raise the BCLK ) there are pretty of guides out there you can safely use.
3.3 Ghz is quite low for a k processor. 4.5 is the norm, take it to 4 ghz at least!

Yeah... they went with an HTPC build instead of a Dedicated build. You could get a 7850 and an fx processor in about 530 Dollars in a Dedicated build.
