vram isnt really relevant at hitting 4k. Memory bandiwdth is. Look at charts of r9 290x and gtx 780 ti. The ti with its supposedly low ram should be dessimated but its not.

Direct X 12 will most definately be tied to Win 9. Microsoft has done this for every major DirectX release, no reason for them to change now.
Is it just me or is the excitement on how DirectX 12 will deal (if it can) with Mantle almost palpatable :P
