What's crazy is that a simple firmware update can play these on a current PS3. Man truly future proof.
Awesome reference!!!!
and Tom Cruise as Solid Snake if they were doing a horrid Twin Snakes movie.
I still like Christian Bale. He's intense enough and can play Liquid at the same time.
Oh and Leland Orser as Otacon
whodda thunk it. the hd generation has bungied to the sub hd generation. Pun intended.
Oh. Man sucks to be Turn 10
Why Prologue? The game is old. Tech changes in months GT5 won't look like that. It doesn't look like that. Why not compare it to current GT5 screens?
How do you access the japanese psn from an american ps3?
I think Forza looks great. It still looks like a videogame but great non the less. GT5 on the other hand looks photorealistic at times. This even goes back to the PS2's GT4 vs Xbox's Forza. With the substantial power Xbox had over the PS2 GT still looked better to me. I think the reason is this: when it comes to minute attention to detail and using a systems power efficiently, you can't really beat the Japanese.
That's true.
I wish these came with collectors edition of games. Plus I'd like at least one free one so I'd know what they are like before spending money on one.
it's because you can argue that it's part of the Ico, Shadow of the Colossus story line, effectively making it a sequel.
I agree, Darksiders looks hella sick. Good list. Some of the games I totally forgot about until I read this
People act like Capcom never did this before with SF2/3
I remember being hella disappointed in the xbox version. No ending, crippling framerates, ugh!!!
Maybe if it was Sam in his sneaking suit with the NV goggles but not "everyday joe" Sam Fisher.
I would love a remake of metal gear. I found the gameplay to be too dated when I played the re-release with MGS3 Subsistance. Just as long as the new team realizes the importance of the cutscenes it should be fine.
360 has its share of great games but they can't beat the ps3 in exclusives. Remember when people complained that there are no good PS3 exclusives, well not anymore.
And as for the 360, I'd really like to see them work on more exclusives rather than making former PS3 exclusives multiplatform. They aren't really stealing FF13 or MGS if it's still on PS3.
Not only do I want these remastered games because they don't look so hot on a big ass HDTV, but remastering old ps2 games makes for great marketing for the current gen versions. If I never played God of War, I would be more excited after playing the re-release. Plus I would much rather have 720p and 60 fps than normal backwards compatibility.
To have a console game compared to Crysis (graphically) is quite the achievement and is a testament to the talent of Naughty Dog.
I'll drink to that.
