I was planning on getting the standard edition and a steering wheel, but this looks too good to pass up. Well, it looks like my friends and family aren't getting Christmas presents this year.
I was always somewhat confused with the Modern Warfare games. I get the overall plot, but there are objectives in missions that seemingly have little to no bearing on the story.
MW1 had a story that just kept jumping from one point to the other. I've played the game multiple times and still I have tons of questions as to why.
In MW2, who was "Raptor" that Sgt. Foley had to transport and protect from one restaurant to the other? Who was they...
Oh please. Lighten up. Michael Bay makes movies that are pure entertainment. Why is that so wrong? Why does everything have to be artsy fartsy film bullsh*t? But if calling people who like him, "idiots", makes you feel better about yourself and your "knowledge" of film, then hey, more power to you.
Michael Bay and God of War is a match made in heaven, or in this case Olympus.
Also Mike Bay is perfect for a Modern Warfare movie.

It seems like there is always gonna be a bunch of "disappointment" articles for EVERY high profile game this generation.

Maybe more Anti-Activision than Anti-Treyarch? But the biggest issue for me was the mipmapping. I hope that gets fixed.
And if the game favors the PS3 they'll say something like "I don't understand why, the 360 should have handled this easily". If it favors the 360 they'll say "oh it's like that due to the PS3's architecture".

I keep going back to old games every now and then. Sports games I understand, but for the most part, when I'm "finish" a game, it doesn't necessarily mean I absolutely done with it.
BTW. The games on this list I do have, I still play and very much enjoy.

I always liked the graphics of the Modern Warfare games. I think it was it's use of lighting and shadows.
If there is one thing I was disappointed in, it was that MW2 was 4.1 digital surround sound. WTF? Can anyone confirm that Black Ops is true 5.1 digital surround sound?

I do. But I love single player on Hardened. Don't care much for multiplayer since I suck.
