While that's true, it's also a fact that the mere accusation of sexual impropriety will cause great harm in today's insane political environment. The burden of proof has effectively shifted to the accused, and it's so heavy that it likely will never be met.

Baseless accusations wouldn't bother you, then? You wouldn't get angry at all? I'd get plenty pissed if people unfairly imputed my character. Someone can also become indignant just because of the shock of public humiliation--the point being that an angry response is no proof or indication of guilt or innocence. It's a human response to a personal attack (whether justified or not).

Yeah, wth does "assault" mean in this case. Without details, and in a hotel lobby, I'll have to assume it was something like an angry shove, if it happened at all.

A public figure can be harmed plenty by baseless accusations of something heinous like assault or rape.

I agree in general, but what's wrong with Vaan and Penelo?

I played the initial version on the PS2, and Zodiac Age more recently on the PC. I'm with you. I don't understand why this game wasn't universally praised, especially by FF fans. It has a deep and intricate system of character development, great group of characters, compelling story, fabulous huge world, full freedom of movement and action, and looked amazing in its day. I guess many players just wanted more of the same, and the innovative approach took a while to appreciate. ...

I have no problem with people finding a way to make a living without wage slavery. But to then complain about stupid crap as if it were real suffering just makes them look like spoiled brats.

Quarter billion dollars gone, nothing much to show, that's a meme? It looks like a major game-related story to me.

Dropping all of us "PC dudes" into the same basket is like calling all console players fanboys. I've been speaking out against this royal fleecing for years.

". . . of the $288 million raised—$242 million of which was crowdfunded by consumers—just $14 million was left in the bank by the end of 2017. This led to the team raising money through the release of virtual spaceships, which sell for up to $3,000 per ship. Forbes writes that of the 135 models, just 87 can be flown in the playable Alpha version of the game, while some of the remaining 48 are only images.

The headline is rather clickbaity. It's not a revised GPU design or smaller fab process, but rather a higher yield of better silicon. Nvidia have been splitting their Turing output into highly overclockable and not-so-highly OC'able bins. The better chips end up in products that get OC'd by the board partners (like an "Extreme" edition) and the others go into standard cards they are not allowed to OC at the factory (but end users can still try). Looks like going forw...

Borderlands as usual: Complete game out of the starting gate. Substantive DLC roadmap. No pay-to-win MTs.

Cosmetic MTs are possible in the future--not definitely (but likely).

Factually, that is all.

I see it as a fast-flowing river. If you jump in, you get swept downstream. If you don't jump in, you never get to swim.

They can't, at least at the high end. Now it looks like Navi released this year will be lower-powered stuff, with the higher-end hardware not appearing till 2020 (and Arcturus may follow shortly after, obsoleting Navi?--all rumors at this point, but some of them from sources that have been reliable in the past). That pretty much deflated my hopes of price wars at the market's high end anytime soon.

With a 1070, unless you want 4K, you're set for a while. Ray tracing is still mostly in the tech-demo stage, and I don't think the first gen of hardware support for that is going to cut it anyway, not at the frame rates we expect. I still intend to skip the 2000 cards entirely. Nothing has happened yet to change my mind.

2160p at 60 fps is 497,664,000 pixels per second, according to my trusty Windows calculator. It amazes me that they can hit 60 fps at that res under any circumstances. Ultra settings just proved to be too much. Play at 1440p instead, or lower the settings?

"Our RTX2080Ti was not overclocked and our Intel i7 4930K was barely used (meaning that we weren’t CPU or memory limited in any way as you can clearly see from the MSI Afterburner overlay)."

"Exclusivity"--no; I still don't get it. I get that God of War is exclusive, because I have an Xbox and not a PS4. But my PC is wide open to all comers. Nothing is excluded from me there, regardless of who sells it to me.

The one that really looks like a fan hack is SMB 2 USA (NES). That wasn't even a Mario game to begin with, but something with entirely different characters called "Doki Doki Panic".
