exactly what the guy below you said... ps3 was way more powerful than the xbox and most xbox cross platform games looked better than ps3 because it was more difficult to develop for and its about time contraints. exclusives get that extra polish not cross plat games. and in the end the "50%" will be negligible to the human eye, on paper its great but in real time it will be hardly noticeable
3D is failing again though, they pushed hard but its not taking to the avg consumer.

allowing mobile games to blend with core gamers is not forcing it is simply providing an option, the core story is there...bonus mentions can be attained FOR FREE if you own a cell phone which any console gamer liekly does. Imagine playing a game and allowing your friend to jump in, or wife to help you escape the police in watch dogs all from an ipad or cell phone. Its innovative and with the ridiculous amount of casual gamers out there this is awesome
I think it will be better on xbl for the reasons you stated above as well as the better gaming controller. i think people are looking past the core stuff like controller design, online infrastructure and just assuming all these amazing things Sony is saying and taking them as truth. How did Sony's vision of home work out? was touted as this amazing social network with a laundry list of features that never came to life and actually were implemented. Sony will dominate in the offline arena....

because is the mainstream streaming service and broadcasting more so for gamers that hasnt been available on consoles until now. and with sony partnerign with ustream it bascially means they wont be partnering with twitch with like they said is 35 million strong, its all about install base man.
seems obvious right, but all people are talking about is watching not broadcasting the content LOL. it kills me that people arent getting how being able to broadcast live as your gaming from console is a big deal is crazy to me.atleast you get it
the game changers is the ability to broadcast not just watch like you can on phone or tablet. that huge for youtubers and the likes of that. getting the interaction with subscribers and the gamer. the app on phones is streaming only which is minimal
Steam doesn't have relationship with retail stores to maintain, if the prices on downloadable games were cheaper they would be undercutting the same companies they want to put there products into there stores. Steam offers the low price benefit by not being available in physical form for the most part
most gamers dont want to buy online because their isnt enough incentive. they arent cheaper, takes forever to download, cant resell, the list goes on. if devs/publishers want to maximize profit they have to stop being so stingy and give incentive for people to buy digitally. by making online purchases more worth wild they cut costs on shipping, packing, used game sales etc...
Sony is the place to play offline campaing great story games, amazing single player campaigns. xbox one/ xbl is the place to play ,sports games, multiplayer shooters etc period. hardware aside people are just neglecting the XBL is 50 million strong and been growing for 12 years, and has more money behind it, its why PS plus perks are so good, the online service and infrastructure is crap.

no offline at all, you may play solo and turn of multiplayer elements but you must be connected online to play the game
ahh poor low income people who need an hdtv tv with hdmi to play either console, so one time internet access worth whining about but not that either console wont work without hdmi input on hdtv??? folks lets get a grip and stop talking about how 400-500 consoles arent friendly to poor,3rd world countries, or military! Heck frigign ipads require internet or cell service and cost 400-880 bucks and dont last 8 years lets put things into perspective folks. ANd im not ranting at you just in genera...
Folks the sharing was a glorified demo. check the blog by disgruntled MS worker. he said that sharing was giving acces to full game via 45 minute demo that progress would carry over if game was purchased.

smart move for sure even if it undercuts their own accessory and makes some of the controllers feature useless. gamers dont want all that extra ish and price that comes with it...
