More over to your point the Xbox ( original) was more powerful than ps2 and Sony fans didn't care then whatsoever. Xbox had hard drive ps2 did not. Xbox live way better than ps2 online network etc... Nobody cared ... Ps3 arrived and all folks care about is specs
Can someone tell me why microsofts marketing is so god awful. No commercial out for Xbox one, Sony had one. No UI video out for Xbox one Sony has one. I'm a die hard gamer and will be getting both but love my Xbox360 way more than my ps3. Sony makes great offline exclusives that's about it. Online service is slow and shotty, so naturally I'm pulling for the new Xbox. But they fumble at every opportunity and then don't even market the products. It's just redic in my honest...

Yeah n4g as great as it is for news allows way to many troll relate articles as well as fanboy opinion articles. Bias is one thing but some of the articles are written by angry fanboys and put out as fact, it's a shame. Looking forward to watchdogs for sure , hopefully it is the truly next gen experience. Sony is a great company and is very smartly marketing to make great profits, people need to wake up and realize Sony isn't this super consumer friendly company in business to make friends not money. They just have a better mastering team than MS. It's all PR play and people are eating it up in droves. You'll see the digital push from Sony too just wait, that's all MS did they just sucked at marketing it.
100% agree they are just trying to capitalize on the casual gamers....but companies dont get casual games are now and will always be a flash in the pan. angry birds, temple run, mobile games alike this have huge burst onto the seen stay for a while make shit ton of money and then never to be heard of again. but they make shit ton of money for little dev cost, IE candy crush and games alike.
ipad or kindles or tablets are other second screen options to give gateways to the casual market into mainstream gaming

im a pro xbox guy all the way but they have done little to justify the price at this point, the kinect even if its as amazing as they say doesnt warrant the cost because every consumer does not want that kinect experience. as a fan its been shocking that they have remained MUM on justifying their stance in this gen, lack of info after e3 and confusing messaging. hoipe that changes and they have an ACE in the hole as for now its a PR nightmare
think its moreso saying ps3 was far more powerful than xbox but on cross plat games xbox 360 looked better etc so stuff like that. xbox (the original LOL) was far superior than ps2 but ps2 crushed it in sales and gameplay. so specs dont tell the whole story...to end, the wii won this last console war ( is ahead by 22 million units over MS and SONY) and it was the least powerful by far.... in the details folks
i like the horror aspect, i didnt play dead rising because of that, the zombies were more so a interactive nuisance than an enemy in the game. hopefully that changes this go round. i understand why fans of the series are mad though, dead space changes its theme on the 3rd game and it sucked, gears of war judgement changed its style and it was one of the worst of the series etc...
