U4 wasn't a ground up remake though this is completely rebuilt version of the game.
The pop in makes the gameplay feel more dynamic.
I mean VR takes a lot of power. Especially for the specs of that headset. They can't just throw everything and the kitchen sink in. Performance issues in VR can cause motion sickness.
