Game of the year right here baby
I would say that, but the graphics do look a bit better. Also if it was using MT framework like re5 and re6 then it could've been using the same assets. I'm glad they switched to RE Engine. Its literally built for survival horror. I imagine that after seeing the PT demo by Kojima Capcom completely scrapped this seeing as it's from a 2013 build and PT was released in 2014. Just a hunch.
Damn son they straight cooking yo ass
If you play the game as a turn-based/action rpg it'll make more sense. Think of it as playing old school FF where you can also move in real time. It clicked for me then
I mean to be fair the actress that plays Ellie is an adult in real life, so I think that's whose looks they are referring to. Not that it doesn't seem a little weird nor does it matter in the slightest bit
The Snu Snu episode?
Should've been a movie in the first place
Game gets hate because the main character is a black female. Been pretty obvious for a while now.
I'm not surprised. In every segment the developers released talking about the game leading to release they never talked about combat in depth. They literally had a 30 min long mini doc just focusing on how atmospheric the game was.
PS5 runs cool tho...
Returnal is my top 5 of all time
It wasn't the most influential horror game true, but you cant say it wasn't the one of the most if not THE most influential shooter of all time. Every third person shooter to date still uses its blueprint for movement and camera position, free aiming at specific body parts, QTE's and film-like framing of cinematics.
It's a masterpiece because it basically laid the groundwork for every third person shooter after its release even til this day. There was literally nothing like it at the time I dont see how people dont understand this. From gameplay, cinematics, qte the game introduces dozens of "firsts" into modern gaming.
How are you guys able to play the campaign early??
I feel like the release of elden ring is going to unfairly gimp review scores of this game.
@isarai no one even knew what Callisto protocol was when it was announced so I don't believe thats true. It was labeled as a survival game set in the PUBG universe. I don't know how EA would've thought it would be anything like dead space. also news about dead space remake being in development was rumored long before Callisto's initial announcement.
It wasn't a mobile port though? The team that made them did the mobile games but if I remember the actual remakes aren't the mobile versions.
I think because rap is the new Pop basically that's why. It's the most popular form of music. When rock was the most popular and they used metal or heavy guitar music in commercials in the mid 2000s I didn't hear anyone complaining.
@star51 lmao right? Or dead. I think they are joking? But whatever
@darxyde
The fact that a remake of one of the highest rated and most influential games ever made has basically struck lightning in a bottle twice merits a GOTY nomination. It really speaks to the love and attention the developers paid to not only recreate, but refine and reimagine what was already considered perfect and not only make it better, but once again one of the best reviewed games in this decade. If a game or it's developers don't deserve an award for such an achieve...
