Yeah Goldps3, I think the PS3 exclusives are generally the best too, however, Bioshock Infinite looks REALLY amazing.

Hooligan:
Yes, well gears is the only big game coming out on that system in that time frame so of course it will get a lot of preorders. Then, logically, much more money can be allocated to market it. Are you sure you don't work for that website?

Just look at your disagrees above and you will see that your efforts are futile.

Hooligan:
Your right, it(gears) had lots of preorders even back then because there wasn't much else for people to spend their money on. If Uncharted 3 was the only big PS3 exclusive this year, it would probably have heavier marketing and more preorders. It will, however, sell VERY well, considering sony had to spread their marketing out across a dozen big games. Not to mention the the continued dev costs of quality exclusive titles as well.

BTW, just buy a PS3 man...

Woa, I forgot all about that game.

If they were smart, they would let the original voice actors star in the movie, or at least most of them. It may be the only way to recreate the uncharted magic that fans appreciate. If they do it correctly, people may actually talk about how good it is, create a buzz, and attract newcomers to the movie and even the game.

Or maybe the end of the movie could feature outtakes from the game as well, as they are some of the most entertaining parts and some of them actually make it in to the final product. I loled, I think they should make the movie just like the game, it might be the only way to recapture the magic. Emily is hot btw.

Yes and lets hope Hollywood politics don't get in the way of such a perfect collaboration working together. As a fan of the series, I might actually even go to the movies to see it to watch the original actors work their magic. I just hope this doesn't get into the hands of some socalled expert who will twist everything around for fit his "creative vision".

Man that Vita looks sexy. This is good news because there will pretty much always be indie devs that are willing to make innovative titles, even just for the fun of it. The innovation will pass on new ideas to others as well. Personally, I am working on developing for android and would love to see some of my games/apps available for the Playstation community.

I had fun with this beta. I think it will be incredibly polished by the time it releases. I signed up for the Resistance 3 beta and have never played a Resistance game, so I can't wait.

I managed to cut back on video games by about 75% or so and leave plenty of time for studies, music, etc. I don't really watch much TV at all and skip most of the crappy movies, so I still have plenty of time to play games if I want to. For me, it was mostly about breaking down engrain...

"Are you saying that you need some advertising stunt and half truths from the company to tell you to buy it?" That is exactly what constitutes effective marketing for many companies. Sell as many copies as they can by doing whatever is necessary, while undermining their competition in the process.

"Nick is left confused as to why one of PS3's AAA exclusives launching in less than three months remains nearly unheard of in the media" One shouldn't ha...

Sony hasn't really marketed any game strongly this year(except maybe Infamous 2). They spend a lot more money making good games, which I appreciate. They simply have way to many games coming out to spend big bucks marketing them all. It's all about marketing, just look at COD. But, like someone said above, most of the PS3 exclusives end up selling well anyway.
I would rather have the good games and let them spare me the cheesy mainstream marketing hogwash.

Exactly, the people have spoken. Current gen hardware is officially powerful enough to produce a mindblowing experience. Therefore, creativity and innovation are just as important in creating an amazing experience. We don't NEED new systems right now, we need more games like this. The new systems will be here soon enough.
Basically, I'm just happy to see some creative games too :]

I don't mind some of the kiddy games, but their exclusives focus on them way too much and seem to lack diversity. Yet, I'm happy that they aren't really whoring themselves out to the COD crowd yet.
I felt that they betrayed me with the Wii, but there may still be hope.

Your Bluray investment looks like it panned out. It will make a great format for the PS4. Just don't forget about us hardcore gamers Jack, because it is our dedication that will keep the industry alive in the long run. You guys totally had the best E3 btw.

It's not a flop man, it's going to be on the market for at least another 5 years and look at all the amazing games that are already out. At this point, Sony is poised to continue selling the PS3 far into the future and I don't know if I would feel confident saying that about the other two. Is it not apparent that they have been taking their sweet time over at Sony? It seems like they are in no hurry to cash out and move on to a new system.

I agree that it might have that potential. I didn't hear them complaining about the lack of power in consoles, yet they created something far more mind blowing than ANY game I have seen recently. It is appropriate that the word "infinite" is in the title because this game reminds us that creativity does not necessarily have limits. Also, people that rant about games not being art are opinionated windbags because the term art is so often defined subjectively.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Glad to see their is at least one genius still making video games. This is what a creative mind can do with current gen hardware, breathtaking! I didn't know the awe and amazement that I got from the first Bioshock could be topped, but I guess I was wrong. That was like something from some fantastic dream.

I wasn't getting nasty, sorry if you construed it that way. I was only stating that holding something in your hand adds a tremendous amount of feedback and can actually enhance the experience. I didn't even click the disagree button....
The rest of my response wasn't really directed at you, but rather, people that are worried about Sony shifting too much focus over to the casual market. I should have been more precise.
