They will polish it up quite a bit before it is released.
Thanks, I've been looking for new Vita and PS3 footage today.
That's exactly how they do it Jim, whatever is necessary.
I'm glad you took the time to explain (and understand) that there is a difference. However, at this point we can not be certain how much of that ram will used as VRAM for gaming. For all we know, most of that 512 could be reallocated to a game just like the PS3.
Like you said, "IF Vita is 128 VRAM"
I guess we don't have enough info to determine that right now.
"Your 8 GB DDR3 or your 512/1GB on your Video card ? " ...
Gray-fox do know that there is a difference between Video Ram and system memory right?
There isn't a phone currently on the market with 512 MB of VIDEO RAM(VRAM) to be dedicated to gaming.
Not to mention Vita's Quad Core processor.
Do some research.
Pretty much summed up my thoughts. Hopefully they will learn from the mistakes that were made by the Socom Devs to try to gain more mass appeal. I'll be a lifelong CS fan if it doesn't sacrifice it's hardcore qualities.
Well said and you pretty much summed up some of my thoughts Optical_matrix. Some of the trolling and smear campaign could have a been a marketing move to promote smartphone gaming(barf). Or maybe some of them were just playing follow the leader to get cheap hits. I've been on here saying all along that there will be millions who will prefer the 3DS and Vita for their gaming needs. Personally, I will have both an android phone and 3DS/Vita. I have no qualms about having both at this point....
Yeah, when it came out it was actually a very good deal. Yet, there was still the massive smear campaign against Sony at the time. I wonder if any big company that recently entered the video game industry had anything to do with it. I have the Slim and I'm very happy with it, but I need to pick up a Ps2.
That is a good point and an important principle. On that same token, if a product does things that may be appealing and the masses are not informed, it wont necessarily sell itself. In a world where people are constantly bombarded with marketing/advertising, the quality of the marketing can be just as important as the quality of the product in some cases.
As far as 3D gaming goes, IMO in some instances it can enrich a gaming experience. It's somewhat like sound, it may t...
I'm about to redownload CS. The most fun I've ever had with a FPS as well. Many attempts have been made to capture the mass appeal of certain mediocre shooters(COD), none of which have managed to match the hardcore fun factor of CS imo. Hopefully the new CS will live up to it's roots and maybe even surpass the original games without sacrificing anything that makes the game great.
To me it still holds the crown. Hopefully they will not try any silly business to try and appeal to a "wider audience"(nubs). They have a tried and true formula that many fans already appreciate. It would be wise to work with the fanbase they already have rather than risk losing them by going casual. Look what happened to Socom, I think valve knows better than this.
Pretty strange that anyone could disagree with you considering pretty much everything that has ever been done in COD was already done in CS with mods, etc.
Weird that on a site full of gamers nobody cares to comment about one of the most influential and (still) popular FPS of all time.
PS3 is one of my favorite consoles I've ever owned and if you have one with backwards compatibility it may be the best.
Would be nice, or you could just use a peripheral like the one by Splitfish to add Mouse/KB support. I hope it at least has move support though. For me, it is the closest substitute for mouse/kb.
Totally agree with you. People will buy whatever you want them to if it is marketed correctly. That's why you will see sheep lining up for Iphones and then complaining about the price of great value(PS3). I've seen many that are more concerned with their image than the value of what they are purchasing.
Anyway, I think the Vita will look RATHER nice right next to my 3DS. I am a gamer, and although I will have an android phone, I am still a gamer.
Yes, I will continue to say this as well. Marketing and games. Sony you have to market and advertise this device properly.
I gained respect for Wesley when I realized how vastly superior Blade was to many other action movies in recent memory.
Same here, but it might be good with the Move though. I have played Killzone 3 and Socom with the move and it is very precise, accurate, and responsive. Here is a vid I made back in February during the beta with the Move.

Sounds like a great idea.
