IMO, SNES could arguably be #1, followed closely by one of the Playstations. Dreamcast was great but didn't really have the same abundance of games.
I agree @ above. The 16bit era had a unique bit of charm and magic. The PS1 was different and had tons of great RPGS and special games. Same thing with the PS2 really. The PS3 doesn't have as many yet, but maybe as development costs go down, some more really unique and amazing games will be released.

Well, it's a great way to get ready for R3, which I happen to be playing right now waiting to respawn. This could turn out to be one of the best FPS this year.

Maybe capcom is purposefully destroying itself. Another option would be that they have a bunch of noobs who just got out of business school who think they know how to make more profit by changing a tried and true formula too much.

@Above, I think I might just prefer UC3 MP over a more frantic, COD esque experience. I'm pretty sure they have the player count and map sizes adjusted to optimize the experience as much as possible.
After watching the videos at the link, I have to say the graphics and gameplay have been polished and look stunning. I wasn't going to preorder this, but I might have to now.

Yes, some of them would rather have fancier graphics than innovation, creativity, and fun factor. I wouldn't mind seeing a PS4 in 2013 though, provided they still supported the PS3.
New consoles now = higher development costs + less risks taken on new IPS + more FPS GAMES + Less innovation. Give them a year or two and see what they can come up with with what they have to work with guys.
Yeah, it's all about marketing(shameless plugs, ANYTHING). It doesn't matter how many games or how many things PS3 can do to the masses. If they are not marketing them, they will be swept under the rug away from the mainstream by counter marketing. The smear campaigns were not a coincidence either.
I had foretold that Sony would step their marketing and advertising up when the PS3 got down to a mass market price point. Lets see if this is part of their strategy.
At least they are keeping the price down. It has two cameras after all anyway, but I'm not buying it for that reason. In fact, I forgot it even had cameras. I must have been distracted by how amazing it is.
Nice to see they are starting to aggressively market now that the price is pretty much down to a mass market level. Just as I predicted. Much success and keep bringing in the quality hardcore titles.
It's a magical place and all it costs is $40 dollars a month to get in. They even have a basketball court and the graphics are phenomenal. Some people high def is impressive, well this gym is SUPER HIGH HIGH DEF ULTRA+
BTW, there are unicorns and gnomes too but not everybody sees them, only people that pay the extra $10 dollars a month do.
Zumba is hot right now. People are sheep, etc. It's a sight to behold at my gym when all the chicks show up for Zumba though, giggity!
