Considering the PS3's lack of marketing here in the US, they are doing exceptional here! Seriously, there word of mouth strategy was a bit slow here, but now the consensus is becoming that PS3 is the console to own. Once the illusion that it is "expensive" is shattered, it may become the number one console here at some point in the near future.

I find it puzzling that anyone could disagree with you PCE, however, it doesn't necessarily ruin a game. I thought the health regeneration in the Resistance 3 beta was lame at first, but the multiplayer turned out to be VERY good and addictive(so I gave them a pass). I will be picking up the full game soon.
Also, the health regen is a bit more acceptable in Resistance 3 because it is a Sci Fi game.
I didn't like the beta at first, but then I got addicted to it and realized it was awesome. I will be picking up the full game ASAP. I also prefer Resistance 3 over Killzone 3, although they both are good games.
oThat may actually be one of the reasons I haven't picked up a 3DS yet, other than them virtually abandoning their hardcore fans. The idea of friend codes doesn't do it for me. They should have an option to use other methods. I would really like to get a 3DS at some pint so I hope Nintendo gets their act together.

That's true, it would be quite accurate actually, but a bit awkward for many people.
The SPEs take care of a lot of processing that the so the GPU doesn't have to do it, hence the phenomenal looking exclusives. But lets not forget, good gameplay is king. Fortunately they have that too.
Most reviews are 8+, with many that are 9 plus, and a lot of perfect scores.
If you are a hardcore gamer, keep your eye on this game.
Crystal ball says,
a) [lots of]gullable people will buy it
b) It will get a "safe score" from "reputable" big websites and magazines like between 8.5 and 9.0ish. It may even get an 8.0 from some.
c) It will be lauded for it's "features" and it's shortcomings will be somewhat overlooked(moreso from bigger sources)
d) It will be the biggest COD, then they will start to fizzle out just like guitar hero.

Yes, very happy with my PS3 and glad I got PS+. I will have to go for the whole year next time. All these 3 month deals add up.
It is exceptional, just look at all the glowing reviews and reactions from fans.
I will also be going with resistance becuase I am tired of most Military FPS.
I will probably get battlefield 3 on PC eventually but time will tell.
