8 hours of story was more than enough time to cover everyone, and it's not like the other games didn't have that many characters. Also I still have no clue what you're talking about nanomachines covering the cracks. That really makes no sense at all since technology, and nanomachines have always been an integral part of the series, and everything made perfect sense as to why they were there. To each his own; however, I can not agree in the slightest with those statements.
I would have had Snake pull the trigger so you hear the gun go off, but then when it comes back to the last scene Big Boss step in, and knocks the gun away so he can explain everything, and the very last scene is Snake looking down at the gun so you can speculate on your own what happened. That would have made it perfect imo.
What gaps? Nanomachines are a reality, and there's no reason why any of that didn't fit in the story. I will agree about one thing though. I wouldn't have had that whole over dramatic Otacon scene as you mentioned. That part was the only thing that seemed too over the top. The rest of the oddball stuff easily fit into the series. Hey genius all those scores are what you base the overall score on because those are the aspects of the game you're rating. I don't know where 7.5 came from especially fans of the series would take into consideration that MGO is just a bonus.

Actually WIIIS1 if you read his past comments, and notice that he has a ps3 tag you can see he's most likely not a troll unlike you. Also notice how he went into some semi detail about the actual story, which I just don't think he got in the slightest. For one it was AI not nanomachines orchestrating it.
Another thing is his overall score doesn't really add up, and is far too extreme.

Also let me add I've never played a campaign all the way through more than once, but I'm already on my third time through, and ready for my 4th. First time it took me roughly 22 hours with while watching cutscenes on normal. Second time I went through on easy, and played it as a shooter, and that took me about 14 hours with cutscenes.
