Yes, they can co-exist but each game will no doubt be potentially eating into the other's sales. There are enough fans for both series to go around.

Not really. The points did nothing for the cheaters then and getting rid of them will do nothing for them now.
Which I did mention a week back. MS may have been creating their own "shortage" by stock piling their consoles for GTA. Someone called my comment nonsense and we'll see in a few weeks whether my theory was right or not. ;)

GTA IV is huge but I don't think it'll be a deciding factor for PS3 or 360 in the final outcome of the "console war".
It's a little obvious that it'll sell more on the 360 simply because of the install base. I feel MS is throwing too much into the game expecting it to do what people claim it did for the PS2. It's multiplatform this time and won't sway anyone either way. DLC is for the hardcore and casuals don't even care and possibly don't even know about it.
