Yikes....when you think about it.....this year was pretty weak in terms of high-tier games. Nothing that really blew our socks off.
I mean these were really good games, but I guarantee none of these will be remembered as games of the decade, or even top games of their respective consoles beside maybe Metroid Dread, but it's the Switch, they don't have many exclusives, and 3rd party games don't port that great over.

8 out of 10 is a pretty good score from Edge and is a good score for an amazing game from any publication. Many great games are 8's.
Why do you think it deserves more than an 8? Dread isn't exactly innovating too much in the genre, and many have complained about it's hand cramping controls and mechanics, frustrating power spikes, some progression bugs and a few other smaller complaints as well including I guess playing in docked mode isn't that great.

So when they announced it they actually announced Coming to PC and "Cloud Gaming". So everyone thought it was coming to console. But they corrected themselves after and said only PC.

Forza 5 and Halo will for sure increase it because many people have probably been waiting for them before pulling the trigger, or have unsubscribed over the past year or two because of the lack of big exclusive games and delays.

Honestly there is no reason not to get PS Now. For $60 a year if you pay up-front (Most of time you can find a discount online as well), the price of ONE video game, you are getting access to hundreds of games, with 2-3 new additions every month. Even if you only play 20-30 hours total from the service A YEAR, it's worth the price.

Not necessarily true. I played Destiny 2 and Outriders on wifi on my tablet. While not ideal, it's 100% playable even in multiplayer. The only game I've run into true issues playing on streaming has been MLB The Show. It's almost unplayable playing streaming because you'll always swing late because of the latency, even offline.

Targeting means targeting. Not guaranteeing. If you can't hit it on the console you're not going to hit it with streaming. Flight Sim also isn't available on Cloud yet.
For sure. A great benefit is also saving storage, and it's a decent way to play indies or games that you can live with not having perfect FPS and Resolution.
That's kind of the direction they've been going. They don't care about where you play it, as long as you subscribe to GamePass that's all they care about. Some Series games have been delayed/not available though. I'm guessing it's because they were working cloud off Xbox One tech. We just got The Medium added to Cloud, and Flight Sim isn't even an option yet.
So if there is a caveat I would say don't expect Series games Day 1 for Cloud ...

If it’s a shooter published by Sony, I won’t even entertain a conversation unless it’s a revival of SOCOM or Resistance Fall of Man. Literally the two shooters I’ve put the most time ever in online.

I’m not saying you don’t have some points.....but the games you just listed have had embarrassing launches on GamePass. Outriders servers have been unstable and laggy, I havent been able to play one coop game with brother without lag. On top of that my brothers inventory was wiped. MLB The Show is a great franchise, but the servers have been unstable and hardly working during launch week this week. I can’t even play Diamond Dynasty for 15 minutes without it saying “can’t connect to server”. ...
I agree. The only way we ever really know is if the company tells us it’s coming. Otherwise it’s all speculation and the sales help tell that story.

Yeah Sitdown I can feel your tone just oozing out of your message. What is there not to understand? TLOU2 and GoT were award winning games and probably 1A and 1B in most (not all) of the GOTY conversations. And they came out months before Spider Man.

The thing that confuses me is.....everyone is talking about how Microsoft is winning the war, with Forza Horizon 5 release being the biggest boon to date......yet it's not even nominated for a GOTY in a year where the top 5-10 games weren't really anything earth shattering. I mean It Takes Two, Psychonauts, Village, and the other games are good games, but nobody is going to be still talking about them a year from now. They aren't going to be defining games of any era.
