If Amazon was smart they’d start smaller and gain some traction with some AA to AAA quality games that are well received. They should be aiming to be a Bethesda/Ubisoft type developer first. Let’s see some new creative ideas and IPs. Throw your money around to steal away the top talents in the industry and have them create memorable games.
They literally tried to jump into two of the toughest genres in online hero shooters and MMORPG. Not the smartest strategy in todays ...
@brewin if you got a bundle worrying about the value as a collectible, then that is 100% on you. You get collectibles for 2 reasons: 1) To Sell 2) Personal
If you are worried about the value then you are only worried about the potential of selling it down the road, and that my friend is the risk of buying special editions for that reason. You're playing the stock market at that point. It's like buying autograph rookie baseball cards hoping the player will be ...
@LordoftheCritics
In the next 3 days, Bungie will have made more money in those 3 days, if you consider their annual revenue divided by each day, than you will in your entire life.
If they destroyed Destiny 2 they're doing something right.
It will take probably 2 years to get CoD exclusive. With all the back alley deals Activision has been doing they probably have some agreements to honor with Sony.
2022 obviously multi and possibly 2023 so looking at 2024
@Obz I got some breaking news for
You. You won’t need a Series X to play CoD, Starfield or ES6. You’ll be able to play them on PC, Xbox One, Tablet, Browser and Mobile. Obviously the latter ones on streaming.
It’s kind of Microsoft’s selling point. They don’t care about beating Sony in the console sales. They just want monthly subscribers to their ecosystem.
Sony will continue to have system sellers. Microsoft will have ecosystem sellers. Which...
I believe it only for the fact that I can buy a Series S or X every single day I wake up yet i haven’t even sniffed a PS5
I think you're underestimating how popular and fun this game was when it first released. It also completely took over the E-Sports scene, was big on streaming. It's the best hero shooter we've had since Team Fortress, arguably the best one ever created. The hero shooter genre as a whole is suffocated and any quality release in it will be very coveted by players on all platforms, and professional content creators and E-Sports athletes, which will also influence regular people. ...
Actually Sony has started letting their games go to PC....they are obviously dipping their toes in evolving their distribution strategy. Also rumors of them releasing a new tier of PS Plus subscriptions etc is clear they are probably looking for ways to compete with Xbox without having to absolutely clone their model in scooping up studios and pushing a subscription service. They are staying true to their philosophy while bending a little.
"MS will" Funny people...
Pretty significant jump when you consider this has been on GamePass for a while. Shows the influence of the PlayStation userbase and how many consoles are out there.
Yes, they have been releasing exclusives on PC now….not to mention PS Now has a PC App and it has many older PS exclusives on the service that you can play.
While not perfect, they are showing effort into this now
Okay but this is a personal thing that happened and wasn’t something involved in the workplace or a crime related to the workplace or any colleagues. So why should we automatically assume his colleagues are pedophiles also and we need to investigate? There is no need for an internal investigation unless evidence supports the need.
So if I decide to murder my wife and kids tonight that means all my colleagues should be investigated? Think of that logic.
Yeah. Investigate the entire company because a dude is a pedo. They tend to run in packs you say!? Then odds are it would be people in his personal life, why do you automatically assume he’s be sharing that hobby with colleagues? If anything most of us have no effing clue who the “real” people are that we work
Great ideas there.
Hah, quite true. They have a fun lego game, and Mortal Shell which is a good game and they chose to focus on a demo. I actually think it would be pretty cool if we started seeing more tailored demos on the service. I miss the days of getting demo CDs inside of games I bought back in the day on PS. We have a whole generation of gamers who don't even know what demos are anymore so they don't know how to react to them.
I actually bought Godfall when it was on sale ...
Wow, entitled much?
Regardless of anything else, your subscription that you pay $40-60 a year for, just gave you a pretty decent game in Mortal Shell with a MSRP of $30. Even if it doesn't have a PS5 upgrade you're getting great value.
Love how people complain about these free games every month like it's a lifeline, when in reality we get between $500-1,000 a year in value for paying like $50 a year.
You’re not even getting co-op for $60, because it’s delayed until Q2 next year.
The multiplayer is fun as hell for sure, but the fact that they separated everything and are trying to monetize it so much and not even including all features at launch has been very disappointing.
Yeah because Nintendos console can even run an Activision game
These guys are CEOs for very important companies in their industry. They can’t come out and make public comments trashing another company until they feel it’s totally safe to and their won’t be any possible lash back against them or misinformation spread. Their PR would never allow it even if it was safe. I
And also…this was an internal email and not even a public statement. It just got leaked.
So all the employees at Activision/Blizzard should suffer because of a crooked CEO? What about the developers and all other thousands of good people at the company whose livelihoods depend on the games selling? Their bonuses, future job security etc.
Why would Jim Ryan and Phil Spencer punish them by not letting them sell games on their platforms because of a bad CEO and other bad eggs?
How is it a 1-2 punch when Forza wasn't even nominated by The Game Awards for GOTY?
It Takes Two, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet, Resident Evil, Metroid, Deathloop.....Not even a great year for Top 5-6 games, yet the industry didn't want to nominate Forza for the award.
What does this mean? That overall, nobody gives too many shits about a racing game. The diehards will keep with it, the casuals are done with it after a few weeks.
Yeah they’ve only tried online games so far. To me it shows they’re only seeking revenue streams and don’t care about making games.
