Ummm, no it doesn't.
The PS3 has a PS1 emulator on it, and you can DL PS1 games from PSN, not PS2. Not since the 80GB SKU was released with software emulation (which was eventually scrapped in newer models) has the PS3 been able to play PS2 games that weren't HD remakes made by Sony. That is, unless you have an original 60GB Fully featured PS3 Phat... like me. :D

Generic is another word for commonplace. Something that is done so much, it's generic. Just like there are generic brands of medicine, clothing, food, etc...
In shooters, generic means that the content of the game is largely a copy and paste job using kind of like a check sheet for what should go into a shooter.

Listen, people like you complained so much about the PS3 when it launched that Sony looked everywhere to cut costs and make the console better for devs. Linux allowed all that, and GeoHot still hacked it because hackers are never satisfied. Both the devs, and the gamers that buy the same garbage, are at fault. I mean, look at it from the devs point of view for starters....
MW2 is pure trash. Look at how many people berate the game. But, it sold A LOT of copies and made Activision A LOT of money. So, if you were them, would you deviate from something proven to make you money? I don't think so. In that instance, the gamers are at fault for spending millions on a bad game.
