Heck, honestly I hardly have enough time to play the games I buy...Free selective arcade games would hardly sway me...
Not that it's bad, but when I get my videogame playing time in I am very selective in the games I play.
But, this is coming from a married guy w/ 2 girls...
To each their own I suppose.
ummm....did they fail...or did MS just add IE to xboxlive rendering these services useless....
Any way kind of a mute point anyway...honestly I think facebook and social media for the most part suck anyway...
-Sales drop typically happen around the Holiday season to boost sales.
-Why would they drop prices to compete with a god aweful PS3 redesign When sony isn't even dropping the price on the cheaper to make redesigned system?
Congrats...you win 40 MS pts. get ready to input that 25 digit code!
My point is wheather or not if Mass Effect 1 went multi-plat at this point in time doesn't matter. Mass Effect 1 available on the PS3 isn't going to get anyone at this point in time going to change their mind on way or another.
Me personally I own 360 and PS3 I play games not consoles....
Just saying everyone is acting like it's a huge deal....and it's not..
Wow...a game that came out what 5 years ago is jumping ship? Maybe MS just wanted cash amd got a settlement from EA...Owning an exclusive 1 game in a series of 3 isn't a major coup....
Developing exclusives or new IPs this late in a consoles life cycle doesn't make good business sense. The 360 maybe has about a year left.
If MS is further expanding the works of Rare or creating exclusives for the 720 they would be much better served then trying a ne...
I agree...So if I spend 4,000 pts. thats
4,000x .02 = 80...
So I spend 4000 pts. I get about 80 MS points back? MS great program, but horribly executed.
Maybe this is just the start of things to come. Hopefully they will sweeten the deal over time.
If a service doesn't make money and bleeds a company out...See how long that service is offered.
If a service is not profitable for a company it will eventually be shut down.
umm...MS makes Billions off of xbox live...While Sony is yet to turn a profit off of Playstation Online service....
Who needs to compete with who? I think you have that mixed around.
OKay... Here is something Sony could learn from MS...When you redesign your system to make it cheaper....Maybe you could cut the cost to the consumer???
That redesigned PS3 is one of the ugliest system redesigned systems I've ever seen....AND IT'S NOT EVEN CHEAPER....Horrible move Sony.
Sony cut the price of the PS3 too many times to try and keep pace w/ 360. So they can't afford to cut prices this early again.
This is what happens when you Monopolize the NFL. Every one knew EA was going to F&%K up the football game. I will not buy another NFL game until more publishers are allowed to create NFL games….Because NFL and NFLPA-- EA SUCKS and it’s a BS deal you gave them!!!!
Here would be my list of Microsoft owned characters...
1. Master Chief
2. Cortana
3. Conker
4. Banjo & Kazooie
5. Captin Smiley
6. An Agent from Crackdown series
7. a Zombie from Crackdown 2
8. Joanna Dark
9. Marcus Phoenix
10. Locust from Gears of War
11. Voodoo Vince (a Voodoo doll) for those no familar
12. Killer Instinct (multiple characters) obvisouly not all
13. Viva Pena...
So you forget the fact that MS owns Rare correct? Meaning their whoe stable of IPs. Which can cover a lot of characters. conker, Killer Instinct, Perfect Zero, Viva Pinata, Jet Force Gemini, battle toads...to only name a few That is just one company they own.
Throw in Twisted Pixel characters (splosion man, Ms. Splosion man, comic jumper, the Maw
throw in Gears of War, Halo, possibly Voodo Vince (good reviews, poor sales), Crackdown series, Blue Dragon, ...
What he is saying is...You only have the ability to play those "free games" only as long as you are subscribed to playstation plus.
Meaning technically they are not free, because when you end your membership, you also lose all of those Free games.
I will say that is not actually a bad perk, but not "Free" with no strings attached.
TOP 1 Reason why xbox Achievement pts are better....
Sometime this year MS will make an announcement that actually may make them worth something...
Right now they both suck, because really they are meaningless...
They are nothing more then novelty right now. We will have to wait and see what MS announces to see what it is, but if it is a decent program...That would easily put it on top of trophies.
This article is stupid I'll tell you 2 main reasons why...First off 1) xbox 360 and PS3 would be interchangeable in this article. PS3 isn't all that much more powerful than the 360. (This article was written to troll)
2) PS3 and 360 has been out what like 5 years or so with NO hardware upgrades (ie Graphics cards, RAM etc..) PCs get major new graphics cards and upgradable RAM every 6 months or so....
So of course over the cosoles life cycle compute...
blah...$1.97 per title bought..not worth my time. But, I am happy that they will not renew NCAA for 5 yrs. after 2014...Too bad that doesn't go for the NFL though...Looks like I wont be buying an NFL licensed game for the distant future.
College Football I never had a problem with because I thought EA made the best college game.
But, I also thought EA made the worst NFL game...Which, is why I will not buy another NFL licensed game made by EA.
...
Systems will probably be backwards compatible...meaining if you own the PS3 or 360 version you wouldn't even need a PS4/720 version. What a stupid article.
You think a huge positive article for the Wii U is an article that states a system that came out over 5 years after it's competiton is on par with or a little better is a great positive article?
If a system comes out 5+ years after the competition there should be no question at all if it's better graphically and processor wise. Should not even be close.
Now I don't have stock in Nintendo, MS or Sony... And the fact is all 3 care more about profis...
Define failing?
Is failing Xbox Live generating billions of dollars for MS...Is that failing?
While Sony is yet to turn a profit on the PSN?
Okay...then I guess it's failing.
Sony is jealous of MS, because they went with the popular free gaming service, but is paying the price w/ red ink.
While MS took a less popular approach and went with a subscription model, and are reaping the benefits with black ink....
