I think five years would be a good number. I don't know why they aren't just making games variable resolution. So if I want to play everything on my xbox 1 day 1 edition I can play in 720p, but if I want 4k or 1080p I can upgrade and play the same games at better resolutions. Then it wouldn't be a matter of having to upgrade but wanting to upgrade. This would be the right way to do it as you would alienate less of your loyal fans.
PS4K would be the smart answer. And maybe xbox 1080? Might be "i", might "p", who knows?!?
Wait, will Sony be held to the same level of hatred as M$ was for closing lionhead? In my opinion Lionhead never produced a single good game...ever. Driveclub is top 3 racing games I've ever played.

I believe him to be correct. Nintendo is too busy trying to recapture the magic of the wii for sales. It's not going to happen. Yes I want to play Nintendo's games, but no I don't want a dedicated device that pretty much only does that. And no I don't want gimicky controllers and tech that gets in the way of playing. If you're going to include that stuff make sure it's optional. Learn a lesson from microsoft and the kinect 2.0, or better yet your own wii u gamepa...
Still have to wait until the game launches to see exactly how good it is. Just not sure how it's actually going to play out. It's a good idea but not a day 1 purchase for me.

I'll be waiting for reviews for sure. Way too much hype and not enough info. As well I know not every game has to have coop but this game would have been so freaking awesome with online coop exploration.
I'll def wait a few weeks at least to pick this up. Depending on reviews I may wait for a good sale. Not a day 1 must have for sure.
It isn't a deal breaker but how awesome would it be to fly in formation with your friends and explore together.

@joab777 agreed, I don't think Nintendo will survive this and make more consoles. They seem to be ignoring everything that could make the NX a huge success and sticking with gimmicky crap again!

No, I think we as gamers would be better served to just accept that our current hardware is 720p. But the new hardware could be 4k. As long as the same game runs and is compatible on both consoles I see no problem.
