SOCOM offers both respawn and non-respawn modes so no need to worry on that one.
I look at that Sniper: Ghost warrior coming out later this year and THAT was primarily what Socom SP used to be except with the option of using other weapons not just Sniper rifles.

How hypocritical? If you make average games in the past and then stepped up your game and started making great games, what's hypocritical about people now supporting you if they view you've turned the corner?
I however, am not on FROM's bandwagon. They did great with DS with help from Sony and they should be applauded for a great job for sure. 3Dot isn't out yet and I don't know much about it's development since I'm not an RPG gamer but they're going to have to shown some pattern...
Well, Fromsoftware aren't known for stellar titles. If it wasn't for Sony's SCEJ involvement with Demon Souls that game would have most likely never turned out that way.
If it's a totally independent game from them, I'd be very cautious the success of Demon Souls doesn't blind my judgement.
You missed Lair II :) In fact, that would have been a better headline to grab some good quick hits.

Yeah, seems all the exclusive online-only games on the PS3 are set to reach or surpass 1.5-2mill life time. That's incredible for online-only gaming. Now Sony has shown it can be done I'm assuming we'll be seeing more online-only games from 3rd party developers. Lead 'n Gold is the first of a healthy number to come in the future I'm guessing.
Out of curiosity, Shadow Run is the only online-only game the 360 has so far this gen and that's surprising seeing Live is always promoted ...

Still think PJM should incorporate features of the Play, Create, Share genre. Have our SP but also have rated, created online challenges made by the community.
PS3 gamers on the other hand feel the exact opposite. PS3 gaming has only just begun it's stride and PS3 gamers are looking forward to the experiences they're about to get in PS3's year4,5,6&7.
PS3 gamers are no where near ready for next gen. This gen is only half way through.
It would be unfortunate if, because of their surprise success with the 1st game, they pull a MW2 or Halo3/ODST and just try to coast on popularity. With success, developers need to push the gaming experience even further if for nothing at all but to show case their skill and integrity to the art as top notch developers.

I haven't seen a MS in-house exclusive that matches or surpasses the 3rd party "exclusives". Halo & Fable though seen as great games for the 360 fanbase are not on the same quality level as ME2, Splinter Cell & Gears of War. Relatively, in terms of quality, Forza3 is not remotely significantly better than Burnout but infact the reverse is the case.
However when you look at PS3 in-house exclusives it is plain as day on any HDtv. They're quality is glaringly obvio...
