I actually logged in to Steam and checked the Skyrim Workshop to verify. Just simply seeing, with my own eyes, that "Paid Mods" category being gone made me giddy!

Whatever overall percentage they actually end up taking needs to have part of it allocated to assure quality control.

I, being only one person in the mass of PC gamers who like to use mods on games, WILL NOT pay any money for something that has been free up until recently.

Also gamers, those who wish to pay money, need to be assured with strict quality control. If they are taking 75% of the proceeds, then they can use part of that to pay employees to see if the mod, via a waiting period before release, is valid and worth it.

Nice.

#1 seems like a really funny, immersive concept.

But I still don't understand why they put "shocking" in the title... Should I feel stupid?

It is all about corporate greed!

Especially since, from what I think I have read, Steam only pays about 25% of the revenue to modders.

This mod is brilliant!

Now... I do understand that there are some modders out there that have poured blood, sweat, and tears into their work, and they deserve something in return... But what people probably don't know is that these extremely talented modders are most likely using their works for their job resumes. Meaning that they ARE getting something in return! A potential job!!!

Let me know how that works out for you.

BTW, GTAV dips below 20fps with an average of around 60fps with a GTX 980 on 4K. Sure 1 GTX 980 works, but SLI is necessary to ensure the low end fps don't dip so low. As to whether or not 3 GPUs (980s or Titan Xs) will be needed for Arkham Knight in ultra 4K is yet to be seen. Though, 2 might be sufficient.

FYI, my 99.9% might be off 1 or 2 percent... But it is not that absurd. You do understand that gamers with an...

First off, piss off! Secondly, the GTX 980 is recommended for ultra settings, but it does not say for achieving 4K. To run 4K smoothly (above 60fps *consistently*) SLI will be necessary... Just like in GTAV. Now, assuming you do not have the memory retention of a goldfish, remember what I said when the benchmarks come out!!!

Damn tempted to do the same here, but I'm thinking on holding out until Pascal (GTX 1000 series) comes out next year.

3984d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Nice and all... But 99.9% of don't have the money to SLI 3 Titan Xs for ultra-glory on a 4K monitor.

Oh well, I'm certain it will still look rather nice on what we already have.

Same here, competition brings innovation.

Though honestly, it would be better if there was a third prominent company to encourage even greater competition.

"The innovative platformer Red Goddess..."

Doesn't look very innovative. :/

My only disappointment about graphics is that the environment looks so great, the lesser-quality character models look out of place... which kinda takes you out of the immersion a bit.

I also thought about getting a better GPU this year, especially with DX12 coming out later, but after seeing what nVidia has in store for the Pascal (GTX 1000 series) in 2016... I've decided to wait.

GTX 680
i7-4790k @4.0Ghz
16Gb RAM
Intel SSD

I have a 1920x1200 (16:10) monitor and get a nasty 10fps with everything maxed out. However, simply reducing resolution to 1440x900 (also 16:10) gives me a decent 40+fps, despite the fact my GPU only has 2Gbs of VRAM.

And to be honest, I cannot really see the difference between the two resolutions.

Give it a try!!!

Qrphe,

SIGH... Using a usernet server, along with Download Accelerator Plus, is phenomenally faster than using torrents even with all of the seeders.

Do not click!

Aside from terribly low-res screenshots, there's something rather wrong with this site.
