But personally, I like it when I see a major reviewer give a AAA game a score a couple points lower than the rest. Not that I actually take the review entirely to heart... but, to me, it seems like they are saying, "Screw your presents and bonus cash for a glorifying review and a couple extra points!" In other words, I like it when people refuse bribery and state what they feel about something.

Everyone knows that strong competition is good for business and innovation! If Nvidia pushes AMD out of the top tier GPU market then it will end up serious hurting them in the future. Therefore I don't believe this one bit.
These days AMD is doing much better with their drivers, but a couple generations ago they were rather bad. For those who have either experienced or heard all of the bad press, a strong opinion against them still remains.
