An open world Lord of the Rings game. I'm so hoping this turns out great. Just curious though. What events in an open world Lord of the Rings game can you put into it? There is nothing that comes to my mind.
Could be a VR headset. That would take lots of R@D.
It's 2 Jaguar(tablet) CPUs together and on the same dye as the GPU. The Jaguar CPU is good until about 2.0GHZ when it starts to fry itself. Rumors are the PS4 CPU runs at 1.6GHZ but maybe we will find out at this upcoming event.
With next gen consoles there is more details that has to be put into a game. With current gen games artists can skimp over some corners but when a game looks great on next gen consoles then if they skimp on a corner it'll stick out like a sore thumb. More time to make the same level at a higher level of detail which turns out for higher development costs. Or they could hire more artists but either way it costs more money to make the games.

I'm glade that when you add someone you have your psn name and they have to get permission from you to see your real name. I didn't want any random person online knowing my name. I can't wait. So close to friday this wait is unbearable.
Yes but imagine even if 1/4 people try out the share feature. Twitch holds streamers all the time but this is going to have a lot of people streaming all at once. There is also going to be a crap load of people downloading games day 1.
Guerilla had to go through an absolute load of legal crap so they don't need the health warnings at the beginning of there game though.
Actually it does have advantages playing it off of the hard drive. Once the game is installed onto the hard drive the blu ray reader only needs to spin the disc up to read the key. Then it doesn't have to spin the disc anymore so it actually runs quieter off of the hard drive. The blu ray reader gets less wear and tear since it only needs to install the game and of coarse get the key. Since all of the data is on the hard drive the loading screen is dramatically improved and not to mention...
How the heck does this get a disagree?
Alot of my friends play COD. I'm pretty sure they are pissed at me that on the midnight launch the first game I'm going to play is Killzone Shadowfall. They even went as low to say "I was told Killzone is alright" and when I told her that Planetside 2 in early 2014 is releasing she said that I should wait a month until it's half off. LMFAO. About tomclear my friends list out because they can't except I play higher quality games then COD.
Yeah that is what I'm thinking. Devs that do make games on PC already use RAM that is baked onto the GPU. They know how to get most out of the system. I think there will be improvements but not like the PS3. Like no one knew how to use the SPUs efficiently which is why there was a steep learning curve. But now that both architectures are x86 they can get way more out of the consoles then they could with the PS3 at launch. Only time will tell though.
Even the higher ups have made stupid comments. Adam Orths #dealwithit or hows about the if you don't hage an internet connection, we fortunately have a product for you. It's called the Xbox 360.
X86 is PC architecture and developers that develope on PC have been using RAM on the GPU for years already. If you go out to buy a PC it comes with DDR3 RAM and the Titan(Nvidia GPU) for example has 6GB of GDDR5 baked onto it. Developers know how to use it. Unlike the PS3 which used the CELL architecture was completely different and you can see how first party devs really took advantage of it.
I'm not saying there won't be a slight improvement but I wouldn't expe...
Developers on PC have been using ESRAM on the GPU for years already. The PC uses DDR3 RAM and then GDDR is baked onto the GPU. Developers know how to use ESRAM. On the contrary the PS3s CELL architecture was completely different as you could use the SPUs to carry data around but they had to use tons of tricks to do that efficiently. Another thing that hasn't been done before is having an extra BUS inbetween the GPU and CPU so they can pass 20GB/second bypassing the reading and writing. Yo...
The thing is we at events they usually don't have good internet so that could be the slowest you'll ever see it. To prove it at one of the events this year a PS4 wasn't responding to a controller and someone asked Yoshida on twitter why it happened and he said there is lots of interference at events.
We won't know how good it'll run until we actually get one.
? Opps. I thought I cancelled this comment. I guess not.
They need more players in the maps though. Otherwise it's a game of hide and seek. It also gets really boring when every second game you can't find someone for like 4 or 5 minutes. There is more action in far cry 3 then COD Ghosts.
0 approvals, 26 reports and still counting. LOL
Yup. The publishers have drm like online passes. Ubisoft has Uplay for example.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 but the app isn't compatible for some reason.
