Actually, no. There's story mode for each character from day one.
It does look a tad sketchy indeed: off screen picture, blurry, and the lack of 360 branding. But, and I can't be totally sure, I think some games have first appeared without branding before being officially added.
Still holding out hope though, there are some awesome screenshots to be made in RDR.

If you bothered to read the article, you'd see that there's no reference to any "mates". The update is purely humourus after an ill-thought comment by another member.

Depends on the US/EU conversion rate and whether it'd be financially viable. I've never dabbled in multi-accounts, so I'm not the most clued up on how it works. Sorry :(

The picture there says story mode, the video is story mode, if it wasn't called story mode, capcom wouldn't have named it story mode.
