To be honest, I don't think it really matters what the console will look like. The main thing we as gamers want to know is what it can do and what the price is going to be.
I do agree though, it would have been nice to see the console itself, but it's not the end of the world.
I don't think it matters that we've not seen the actual console, because to be honest, other than the initial set up and switching discs, will you be spending that much time looking at or touching it?
The controller however was a good move. It's something that will be integral to the system, so showing off the thing you'll be interacting with for 99% of the time along with some game demos was the best move early on in the game.

I see where you're coming from, definitely. As I say, it's not something that's fact, just something to think about, not to criticise the Vita, but more to show the possibilities in the future. Just think, if instead of buying a Vita game, you could buy a subscription to Gaikai and stream ANY PlayStation game to your Vita. I've no doubt games are being made and will be for a long time, hell, I want new games as much as anybody else does!
But looking forward, once the PS4 is out and streaming games to the Vita with Remote Play, and once Gaikai has become an established factor in the PlayStation environment, I think it's at least worth a thought on the idea that Vita specific game will go in decline in favour of playing PS4 titles on the Vita.

Totally agree. Achievements take too much precedent these days, I've heard of some people not buying certain games because they don't give out easy achievements, or even worse, they know there will be achievements added to the game with DLC they won't be buying, in turn, taking their trophy progress for that game down from 100% to a lower number.

So true, but we got 3 whole games of Ezio, I'm hoping we can at least get another one with Aveline, give her story the proper treatment.
Hopefully we can see another Assassin's Creed title on the PS Vita, maybe even more adventure with Aveline?
It felt like we only scratched the surface with Aveline as a character in Liberation, so another story that follows her, though maybe in a different location would be very welcome

Seems a tad unfair if you ask me. There's nothing particularly harmful or misleading in this article, just some concerns that could arise with the next-gen consoles.
To be fair, this was being reviewed for the Playstation Vita, based on the unique ways you can play with the PS Vita. Though, you probably do have a point, I'll bear it in mind next time, thanks!
