It's difficult to really justify buying a season pass at the price of a whole new game. Possibly Bethesda are the only company who you can trust to give you moneys worth in this case, but the industry just keeps asking you to trust it while giving you more and more reasons not to trust it.
It's no surprise that they spent something along the lines of $50-70 million on licensing CryEngine with complete freedom. They've created a new engine, it's free to use and now only that, Crytek were saved because of that deal, which gives Amazon a proven ally in the industry.
The cross save is a good feature, great - well, I wouldn't go into such superlatives because it will only benefit a very small number of people. Not that many will own both a Xbone and a high enough end gaming rig to play Quantum Break at a decent level to justify playing it over the Xbone version.
I enjoyed Dying light, more than likely will get the dlc for a bit of it with the freedom The Following looks to offer.
I'm certainly on board with Firewatch, Dying Light and Unravel. Can't honestly say I'm too fussed about Ass Creed though. Defragmented, well, have to see!
Sounds good that the game be this big. Let's hope Ubi manage to not screw it up!
A slower pace wont necessarily be a bad thing. I'm a PC gamer but I'm not a fan of MOBAs, they can be too cliquey and I simply cannot be bothered going through the process of learning it/them/whichever while people go on about how much of a "noob" i am (it's newb!). The best MOBA I've ever played was the original DOTA because Warcraft 3 just wasn't that fast.
Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
I've got to say, I find it refreshing that Sony doesn't have an early access program. Microsoft jumped on the bandwagon, GoG have done now, though theirs actually looks good, gives the consumer so much protection.
My problem is, I've bought quite a number of games in Early Access now and while some show their potential and are progressing, for every one of them, there are 20+ that aren't going anywhere.
Worst thing is, developers can get away ...
And you enjoy MS spying on your every move! :o
That and I will move to W10 now I know that all you need to do is make sure you tick the right boxes on installation, the ones that mean MS aren't allowed to track what you do.
Shame it's Windows 10 only. I refuse to ever upgrade to Windows 10 due to the crap MS have put in there, as well as the fact they forced adware onto all W7 and 8.1 users to push W10 down everybodies throats.
It's certainly handy that the PS4 has a large base, but will the PSVR have such a big base? Remains to be seen. I think VR will finally have it's day now, it's finally come time and tech has reached that level - price is going to be a huge point though, but it always is with new tech.
I'm actually looking forward to Homefront 2. The first game was average at best, true, but I played it enough. This, being in the hands of Crytek UK (Dambuster Studios now) should be good, have a nice British sensibility to it!
That and you need to remember that Dambuster used to be Crytek UK which used to be Free Radical, and Free Radical made Timesplitters!
The real thing to say is: At least they're finally releasing it on the PC. Stupid selling-out to MS for that timed exclusivity. I can't blame them in a business sense (maybe, depends how much they got) but it's just so anti-consumer :(
Aww, but that means effort. All logging in and such!
I still haven't got my bloody code for it, even though I preordered the damn game! Silly Ubisoft/Game.
Hmm. Well, we'll see. It's about right though, a Ubisoft game not looking as good as it was shown - I think that's only been every Ubisoft game in the past 5 years now.
Whether the person on Reddit is telling the truth or not, and it's likely some things are missing, there's no doubt in my mind that the visuals will be significantly worse than shown and a Ubisoft rep will spout some bollocks about visuals not mattering. They don't, but the company shou...
It sounds good. There's too little of exploitative gaming going on nowdays, apart from releases like TES, Fallout, Just Cause and such as that. Even major sandboxes like every Ubisoft game has all the items practically labelled. Games that let you get lost, lovely!
Also, it looks as though they're not making it too dark now at least.
Fair play to them, previous trailers have been iffy at points which shows that they're actually showing the game and not some pre-made rubbish. I'm not sure if it's going to be good or not, I tend to like their stuff so I'll give it a go.
About bloody time. Features that should have been their as standard, that were standard in games like Battlefield 2.
What? That's pretty damn stupid. I've owned and gamed on consoles for over twenty years now and I can guarantee you that I find my PC a damn site better and more enjoyable than a console.
