Yeah and you're not mentioning how many delays on Xbox One? Closed 7 studios recently? Canceled 4 games? Delayed most of their games as well?
PS4 has a wealth of 3rd party exclusives to give Sony time to release their games when ready. Whereas Xbox outright cancels those type of releases has terrible 3rd party support and a meagre selection of 1st party support.

Not necessarily. It says that PS4 sold more than double Xbox One. It could be 55 million PS4 and 23 million XB1 for all we know.
How do you explain the low sales for Gears 4, Forza Horizon 3 and Dead Rising 4 then? They're also established developers. That street goes 2 ways.
They're also one the biggest software companies in the world with extensive resources and it's year 4. Seriously it is inexcusably bad enough with the advertising and it was built around kinect, but, they should have fixed it as soon as they announced that kinect wasn't required. How many more years are we going to give them to fix their own mess? Glad I use my Xbox S sparingly. They could go back to the 360 UI which would be a significant improvement.
Publishers care more about how many millions they sold. If you want relative comparisons. Units sold are more important than percentages.
Look at Uncharted 4 sold 2.7 million copies week 1. If you comparitively look at Gears 4 with half the potential buyers you expect at least 1.35 million roughly yet it only moved 617,000. It got beat in sales by FARMING SIMULATOR. Just think about it for a second the sim farming game beat out a big AAA franchise game.
Agreed. They are trying to establish themselves and set themselves up for more sales and mindshare among customers is all.
Remastered Phantom Dust seems to be one of the titles and Crackdown 3 I assume. Also Halo Wars 2 and Sea of Thieves.
If sales matter and they're pointing their noses up over it why do they all own xbox then? Lol. Pretty contradictory. Also it outsold Forza Horizon 3, destroyed Quantum Break and sold slightly less than Gears 4. If it's 'niche' then what does that say about garbage Xbox One game sales then? Ironic that Last Guardian being niche outsold FH3 and comparable to Gears franchise games.
Considering that it almost sold 500,000 opening week I would consider it a success. Just look at Gears 4 week 1 only sold 617,000 in comparison and had far more advertising and AAA budget.

It's not nearly as limited. I know what our store had available for Wii and I am surprised at our allotment for our Switch is. Quite pleasantly surprised. It is a decent amount. Still not enough to meet demand but it is not nearly as rare as other systems.
I would say based on preoders alone at my store that the Switch will outsell Xbox One this year.

I understand what you're suggesting except here's where it can win back those purchases. Software. How many people will go crazy over Zelda? How about Pokemon? Monster Hunter? Splatoon? Mario Kart? If you add that and good 3rd party support and portability it is a great starting price. Just look at Xbox One, you can get them for $250, but, for what games/software? If you had a choice versus a powerhouse software lineup then buying a Switch becomes a easy choice.

But they also have more New IPs too. Nioh, Last Guardian, Detroit Become Human, Wild, Hellblade, Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn and have far more invested in new IPs then MS easily. Also those games that you guys keep refering to as 'niche' are much more popular in Asia and Europe and not as niche as you guys think.
Not sure why all the confusion. They have sold through 53 million and stores still have stock on hand so they have already shipped a couple million more so they are probably at 55 million shipped. They sell 1.4 million per month so between now and March that's 4.2 million.
So 53 + 4.2 = 57.2 sold by the end of March so 60 million shipped should be doable as there will be units on hand too.

They canceled 4 games in 2 years and had like 7 studios closed and most of Xbox games have been delayed or canceled. So yeah it's not just one game like you suggest, it's one of a trail of cancelations.
Scalebound, Phantom Dust, Fable Legends and Project Spark canceled ring any bells?
