Are they so greedy that they have to force people to dish out money on a sub-par cash-in movie just to play a demo?

Would it be so bad to actually, for once Square-Enix, give your loyal fans a gift?

Judging from the fact that the source is straight from Nintendo itself (At the event for Platinum Club Nintendo members) this seems very credible.

I'll have to download some classics now, and especially get Wario Ware: Twisted (I think that was the only really good GB/GBA game that I missed).

There won't be co-op, but your reasoning isn't really logical. They could have simply shown single player footage. Just because it's only Kratos in the trailers we've seen doesn't automatically exclude co-op.

Regardless, a commenter above me already posted a quote saying there isn't going to be co-op.

360's fault? Co-op has been around for a long time. I can smell your fanboyism through my computer.

Resident Evil 5 isn't perfect by no means, but co-op works for that series. If RE5 was just RE4 with a new character and setting, would it have been successful? I doubt it. Co-op was needed to rejuvenate the franchise.

Replicated himself? That'd be the most ridiculous method to add co-op to a game that I've ever seen. It would make it seem as if they were forced to add co-op to the game somehow so they just made it so he has a "magic clone."

This game would be interesting to play with two, at least for the combat sections, but for the story and puzzle sections it would be awful. Not every game needs co-op, GOW and Bioshock especially.

I bought the game on the day it came out, it would be hard for someone to sway my opinion prior to that point. The only thing I had seen thus far was amazing review scores. I didn't need a forum to change my view on the game, I didn't like it from the beginning.

Basch was "one-dimensional" in that he had hardly any personality (You know, what the phrase actually means). Sure he was instrumental to the plot, but he was still a replaceable character. Had someone else ...

Nice one bubble.

One problem. FFXII was the worst in the main series. I could even go so far as to say it was worse than FFX-2.

-No interesting plot twists? Check.
-Battles that play out themselves for you? Check.
-Final boss revealed in the first 10 minutes of the game, and never changes? Check.
-Whiny teenager as the lead in your party? Check.
-One-dimensional 'knight' as your obligatory princess' bodyguard? Check.

And don't even get me started on Fran's v...

The Playstation era was the greatest. Because it was also the era of the N64.

There were good games on the PS1, but there are far more classics that are still enjoyable to this day on the N64: Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Paper Mario, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: OOT, and Majora's Mask.

Sure the PS1 had great games, but the N64 took most of my time away.

LittleBigPlanet never had the chance to be controversial. The lyrics were noticed before the game released.

Ratchet Deadlocked
Prince of Persia 2
Devil May Cry 2
Final Fantasy X-2
Fable 2
Soulcalibur IV

I think that's about it for me. I'm sure there are others though.

Not a great lineup, might get Platinum though.

Everything? Either you are terrible at sarcasm or you simply haven't played the game.

I'm betting it's both.

While I agree that most 360 JRPGs are half-assed (Enchanted Arms, Blue Dragon [To a lesser degree], Star Ocean: TLH, Infinite Undiscovery, and this come to mind), I would definitely argue that Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia break the mold.

Both of those had minimal faults, and were very enjoyable. Lost Odyssey had some long load times, and ToV wasn't quite as entertaining as Abyss, but that's about it.

The only realistic way this game could have been done single player would have been to copy Mass Effect's formula. I'm not sure if they could have pulled it off even then.

This MMO really wasn't a smart idea in the first place and it definitely isn't one right now. WoW simply has a monopoly on the genre, if you want proof then just check the latest news on Warhammer and Age of Conan (The supposed WoW-killers). Both were forced to merge quite a few of their servers due to lack ...

What happened to the millions of pre-orders this game had? Even if some of the people didn't get their copies right as soon as the game launched, at least half of them should have picked it up in the first 2 days. If they are going to pre-order the game, then it is highly likely that they are anxious to pick it up ASAP.

I saw this news, so I went to check my Inbox. First thing that came in was from "Blizzard Entertainment" (I almost crapped my pants), but then I checked the subject line to see "Battle.net Account – Account Merge Notice."

D'oh!

It's going to be an awesome weekend!

Other than the lack of Metroid Prime, this article pretty much nailed it.
