Why would they lie? When March 31st rolls around everyone would see it right there. They have no reason to lie.
It's either real or April Fools. No company would post information that they know wasn't true, unless their site was based around such articles.

No one exactly had a great GDC. The new Ratchet & Clank was already said to be coming late 2009 so that was expected. MGS5 has been heavily rumored for months now, it was only a matter of time before that was shown. Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks looks like they cobbled something together as fast as possible to appease their fanbase (Just like Punch-Out Wii). Sure both Zelda and PO could be amazing, but they definitely look like Nintendo is desperately trying to put something together...

Well, I was hoping for a Perfect Dark 2 or Killer Instinct 3 announcement but neither would fall under Multiplatform. It won't be Valve related as they usually do 360 or PC. Definitely won't be Blizzard as they would wait till Blizzcon. COD6 and Bioshock 2 are already known so those are out.
My money is on 2K Boston's game.
Where else would it go? Other than the Wii, the only other logical system would be the DS. Assuming it is exclusive, the Wii makes the most sense. FFIV was on the SNES, GBA, and DS whereas the only other time it has appeared was in the PS1 port.
Still, I'd prefer it be on all platforms, including Steam.
Even still, why tone it down? Are they afraid it's not going to sell unless they lower the M rating to T?
A series known for performing brutal finishers in rapid succession and containing gratuitous amounts of gore should not be toning the blood level down. That goes against everything the series has created thus far.
However... co-op does sound intriguing.

That's crazy. Imagine if Mortal Kombat took out all the bloody finishers, and just did away with all the violence and simply sold out to try and cater to a younger audience. That would be pretty idiotic.

As long as they get a new visual style for it then I'm all for it.

Speaking of laggy online games, have you played a multiplayer game on LittleBigPlanet lately? Everytime I do, whether I'm on my university's T1 internet or my home's cable, every other player is hoping around erratically and always seems to float around the screen (Such as teleporting from a spike pit to the nearby platform without dying).
