I would say UE5 is better for multiplat games where a 'one size fits all' approach is needed....but nothing will beat a first party engine custom designed for the hardware and employed by a team who are specialists in its use. Just look at what Sony's devs were able to do on the PS4 with games like Uncharted 4, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, The Last of Us 2, Horizon Zero Dawn and even the ancient Order 1886 visually speaking....these games look astonishing even now.
